Hey WASD keyb Devs put PTR with buffed melee + more changes, well see what will happen

GAMEPLAY:

  • removed black bars on wide screens, display is full 21:9;
  • Akara got 3 respecs on Nor, 2 on NM.

CORE:

  • %ED bonus from 1p STR for all wep increased x2 (eg from 1% to 2% for most weps) 2.2% for Hammers, 1.5% for Claws and etc;
  • AR bonus from 1p DEX is increased to 10.

ITEMS:

  • Last Wish RW: %EDmg is replaced by flat +DMG (test) ~ LW is TOP useless high end game RW;
  • all magic, rare, unique, set items spawn with 1-max sockets per item type (test) ~ RW meta fix;
  • Mosaik RW: 50% chace to not consume only applied to Fenix Strike;
  • Hustle wep RW: CtC 1lvl BoS changed to +1 to BoS;
  • Tyraels Might: added +1 to all skills, added +1 to Teleport, added perm 4sox;
  • Templars Might: added +1 to all skills, added +1 to Charge, added 20% damage reduce, added perm 4sox, str increased to 35-45, vit inreased to 35-45.

SKILLS:
Assa

  • MA skills (charged skills) got +2% chance to not consume per lvl = 50lvl is 100%.

Paly

  • Concentration Aura: +2% chance to uninterruptable per lvl, Aura buffs also all Magic type dmg (eg BSpear, Zerk) in 50%;
  • Vengeance - added always hit, ublockable elemental dmg (similar to Amazons Charged Strike).

Sorc

  • Energy Shield: removed Telekinesis syn, perm set life-mana ratio to 1;
  • Hydras: removed FBall synergy, FBolt synergie increased to 9%, Hydras limit increased to 6;
  • Meteor: decreased impact time by half;
  • FireWall: removed Warmth synergy, increased Inferno synergy to 12%;
  • Inferno: replaced Warmth synergy by FireWall synergy;
  • FrozenOrb: increased IBolt syn to 4%, increased range by 50%, CD decreased to 20frames;
  • Fire Mastery: added synergie from ColdMastery -1% to enemy Fire resistance per lvl, added syn from Light Mastery +2% Fire dmg per lvl;
  • Light Mastery: added synergie from CM -1% to enemy Light resistance per lvl, added Fire Mastery syn +2% Light dmg per lvl;
  • Cold Mastery: added syn from Fire Mastery and Light Mastery +1% Cold damage per lvl.

Droot

  • Lycantrophy: added +2% IAS per lvl;
  • WereWolf: added 3% FR/W per lvl;
  • WereBear: added 2% FR/W per lvl;
  • Molten Boulder: removed CD;
  • Fissure: FS and Volcano syn increased to 18%;
  • Volcano: MB and Fissure syn increased to 24%.

Barb

  • all Masteries: increased base chance to Critical Strike to 30% then +2% per lvl, capped at 70%;
  • Increased Stamina: added passive +4% FHR per lvl;
  • Battle Command: +1 to all skills per 10lvls eg 1lvl = +1, 10lvl = +2, 20lvl = +3…;
  • Increased Speed: base lvl is 30% +1% per lvl;
  • Frenzy: base length increased to 30secs, increased time from IncStamina syn to 1sec per lvl.

Amazon

  • Dodge, Avoid and Evade: added passive +1% FR/W per lvl.

Necro

  • Golem Mastery: +1 active Golem per 10 lvls.

As for everything else, I think Charles has beaten you to the punch for awhile now with his own thread(not hard to find) with over 2k replies. His offerings should be first in line with respect to consideration.

I think Kamal is referring to the ongoing PTR on D2R…these changes might actually happen…

He’s not referring to current PTR based on the Topic title. He’s calling for the devs who did the crap WASD rollout to update PTR with his proposed changes. If current PTR has those changes in OP above, I’ll come on here and admit I was wrong.

There’s no ongoing D2R PTR and likely never will be again. :confused: Last one was in January 2023.

I just want WASD to be put back in the game and working perfectly.

Dont funny me, his thread is SUPER advanced item rebalance with a lot of tweaks which fit more to expansion or a mod, Imo its small chance to implement all of this cuz list is huuuuge.

My list should be considered as “one minute fix” and better this than nothing, it took me ~20min to write this, and I think to implement something like this is less than 3h of working in excel.

I write this list to WASD guys to consider fast fixes for some D2R core problems: melee, RW meta, mosaik, hustle, some unpowered skills, slow movement w/o telynigma.

Btw list will be updated if I find another 5min kill my day and think about terriBAD D2R balance :laughing:

Sorry I know my list isnt perfect, but I think its still tons better than actual D2R state, I tried to find spot between D2R and PD2/PoD. These mods are awesome, but GO too mutch from original D2 SPIRIT (for irony we got Mosaik, and Sunders).

His list may be huge but he’s not expecting ALL of it to be done at once but rather in stages, hence the Phases. Furthermore, he’s not suggesting any skill reworks(afaik… been awhile since I’ve perused his list). Pretty much everything he has concerns items, notably tweaking Uniques, Sets, Runewords, Crafting and general changes to basic weapons(ex: increasing the base damage).

What you have in mind, while much smaller, hasn’t had 2k replies of tweaks, criticisms and additions and affects the very class balance that Charles didn’t touch.

DMG is done by 1.10, but I think the best patch would be like:

  • reverted 1.09 monster HP values;
  • overall synergie removal except maybe some sks, but with ~1-2% values and with max one synergie;
  • items like Spirit, Insight, Lore, Hoto, Grief, CTA (1BO max) as totall end game RWs;
  • multi socket magic/rares/crafts;
  • Enigma w/o Teleport;
  • mid lvl Staff RW with Teleport as QoL;
  • all kind of absorbs disabled in PvP.

and baaah nn any item redesign or rework, nn sunders, nn mosaik or other BS.

no i’m not that guy that’s going to pick it apart, your ideas are a bit too crazy to be d2:r imo. that’s about it. way too much power creep. things would obviously have to be tested and i would guess, most of your suggestions wouldn’t make it.

but ya, a revert would be better than a bunch of random things changed. current state of d2:r is not a great experience imo.
