Help me choose the base claw for Chaos Runeword

I’m not very experienced with weapon-based builds.

I’ve been researching WWSin, I got the runes and have good bases:

  • Runic Talon
  • Feral Claw
  • Blade Talons
  • Suwy Sukyah

I need help deciding which claw to use.

I have doubts:

  • Does WW will greatly reduce weapon durability?
  • Would the cost to repair be too high?
  • Of all the claws, which one would be most viable for a build focused on both PvM and PVP? In terms of repair and damage costs?
  • WW: what is most important? Weapon speed or damage?
  • Would a superior weapon have a higher repair cost? Would it be worth using one or using a normal one?

All my answers are in regards to PvM but:

it can, and when combined with weapon block it can add up. If playing PvM, youll want to repair fairly often

just dont make it in a superior base items and the costs are manageable for sure. Superior bases, with skills on it , is when repair costs go insane. if reduced to far it will literally cost more gold than your char can hold. You can always use the cube recipe to repair it, but having an entire stash tab of Ort runes isnt worth it for a possible chance at 15% more dmg when rolling the claw. Much better for QoL to just make in non superior for cheap and quick repairs

I think hitting the 6.25 breakpoint for WW is most important. IMO, the best is a Feral Claw in the main hand, and a Runic Talon in the offhand. You need a Runic Talon for the 6.25 breakpoint, and the Feral Claw is the only other higher dmg weapon with enough base IAS to maintain the 6.25 aps bp. (requires 30% IAS+ on feral to maintain BP)

same as above, definitely not worth it imo. Way to cumbersome to deal with all the time and the damage gains is minimal for PvM

gear is perfect-ish stats, so a little unreasonable, but achievable and you get the idea
These are the main things I focus on:

  • Half freeze duration, instead of cannot be frozen, so you can get more hits off on enemies when slowed. It doesn’t affect your APS with WW, only movement speed
  • Gong off that more, Fade+enigma, instead of BoS+dragon flight for better mobility, resistances/phys dmg reduction, and you can spin more effectively and utilize HFD
  • Max out dext, after 1500hp when buffed by BO, for a really good damage and attack rating boost
  • Str adds to your physical damage, so stacking a ton of it for things like Monarch/Steelrends isn’t a big deal at all
  • Shadow Warrior, with Death Sentry always on Right Click, so you can control her skills, and she can cast them for you while you spin
  • If you obtain Death Sentry, or any skill for that matter, from your claw, you need to spawn the Shadow Warrior/Master with it equipped for them to have access to DS
  • And I personally do not think venom is worth maxing out for PvM, it’s dmg isn’t that good for it
