So this is my first time attempting a full solo playthrough with this build, and for the most part Hell mode wasn’t that bad… till I reached this area.
I mean, dear lord, what kind of a sadist do you have to be to design an area like this? I came very close to using up two respecs just to get past this one area (one to temporarily switch to fire sorc, and then another to go back to cold). I didn’t have to do that in the end because on the third restart I got a nice roll for floor 1, but even then it was brutal and I needed some teleport luck to get through it.
i usually just tele to center lvl 2 grab ammy and tele out or portal
Hybrid playthrough is pretty much what you need to get through hell as a sorc, or decking out your merc so he kills all your immunes.
Orb/firewall or Orb/Meteor will get you through pretty much everything. I personally use orb/firewall to melt bosses. Coolie just put up a video up about theorb/FW build with budget gear.
a5 is even worse than act2 as cold
lol ‘dear lord’ is right, if all you gots is colds. It can be a mess.
Reroll maps or upgrade your act 2 merc, give him life leech and IAS items, try to reach 1.2k dam and let he handle.
That was the plan, I gave the merc a Bonehew with Hel/Amn (can’t go double Amn just yet because he needs more strength). And it even kind of worked, until I ran into a boss Viper with stone skin. It didn’t quite make it physical immune, but it did essentially make it impossible to kill.
It was at that point that I just gave up on fighting and opted for the “teleport like mad and pray you don’t get stunlocked by a random pack of vipers along the way” method.

Myabe it’s just a matters of map luck 
, i went through Hell without any problem with Bliz Sorc even i didnt farm much for her.
And Bonehew is too slow, he cant leech anything and worse if boss has frozen.
True, Bonehew definitely isn’t my first choice. But, to paraphrase the great Donald Rumsfeld:
“You equip your mercenary with the polearms you have, not the polearms you wish you had.”

lol don’t even bother just tele right thru and land on the alter loot it and leave they will reck your face as a sorc.
Ran into this mess today on a solo playtrough with selffound gear today. Died 8-10 times. Shortly after entering i was forced back up the stairs to level 1 because: FEAR… without opening a safety portal down there. Going down the stairs again is a very bad idea from now on. I think its officially called stairtrap… Died there about 3-4 times until my last set of gear was taken. Advice for cold sorcs: Fill up with large regen potions and come with your merc. Go down and instantly start chugging regen potions as if there was no tomorrow, just trying to survive while simoultaniously casting a teleports in the room behind. Worked for me… Most of the disgusting snakeys will stay at the stairs. You can now grab the amulett after killing some leftover snakes in the backroom. I ultimately cleared the room by dragging the snakes from the stairs in packs. But its still a mess. Good luck. @Blizzard: Immunities are idiot gamedesign and an awful gaming experience, even more when compaired with charges in a tiny pit. Wasnt fun, just a nuisance

I can’t imagine complaining about anything as a sorc, who can literally just teleport past everything to the Altar and that’s that.
