Ever wanted to use Heaven’s Brethren? I know I know, who would ever want to use Heaven’s Brethren. It’s a terrible set. And it’s true, it is. But it does have some things going for it which make it rather unique. First and foremost, especially in D2R, visually the set looks fantastic. There will be no one else who looks like you. The weapon has very fast attack speed with fire damage, scaling max damage, and 10% chance to cast frost nova. The armor grants a big boost to life. The shield has great block chance and block rate, along with a big boost to mana. And the helm has +Str, +Dex, and 10% chance to cast weaken. I kept thinking, what class or build could even use this? A zealot or Holy fire/frost/shock Paladin? Maybe a Concentrate barb? But then it dawned on me. This set was made for an Enchant/ES Sorceress with max block.
Sorceress - 20 Warmth, 20 Enchant, 20 Fire Mastery, 20 Telekinesis, 1+ Static, 1+ Energy Shield, 1+ Teleport, 1+ Frozen Armor.
Full Heaven’s Brethren set - Weapon, Armor, Shield, Helm
Your best Str/Dex/Mana/Life/+/+ Rare or crafted ring
Your best 10 FCR Rare or crafted ring
Your best Str/Dex/Mana/Life/+/+ Rare or crafted amulet
Magefist
Verdungo’s or your choice of belt
Goreriders or your choice of boot
Socket shield with your best -15% Requirement jewel
Socket weapon/armor/helm with Fire Facets or your choice, whatever you need (+Str/Dex/x/x rare jewels would also be nice)
The build will only reach 30 FCR, but that won’t really matter much as a. this is not meant to be a serious tryhard build and b. 30 FCR will be perfectly fine especially given how tank you will be with your huge life pool, huge mana pool, strong ES, and max block. This build will excel against c. single targets and d. anything not immune to fire (I know, I know, half of Hell is immune to fire, see point a.)
Anyways, It’s late and I was bored so here’s the next build I’m going to make, figured I’d share with you all, maybe anyone has some thoughts or suggestions, much appreciated in advance goodnight 
Okay, I have finished making this build and I gotta say, it’s better than I thought it was going to be. While this is one of those “your merc is the main character” type builds, the sorc is incredibly tanky, and she does do OK single target damage (lol). I also enjoy seeing the Frost Nova and Weaken procs, which coincidentally further support the “merc as the main character”. In fact, I do most of the tanking while my Prayer merc shreds everything with his Enchanted Eth Insight Thresher, Eth Scarab Husk Treachery, and Tal Mask, and it’s honestly no big deal to stand in the middle of packs due to the 75% block, 20 points in Warmth, 20 in Telekinesis, and 15+ in Energy Shield. Both CtA and Torch, which I have neither of for this character, would benefit the build greatly. Overall, I’m glad to have created such a weird character and use such a “terrible” set, it really does work in this particular setup quite well. Best of all, the gear looks amazing and unique in D2R, no one will be able to question its Awesomeness
