I’ve just played through the game with my brother (frenzy + zealer) on HC.
We have mostly self found gear or gear passed down from previous characters.
We really want to do finish this off by doing ubers, however we are really scared of dying (ofc).
Do you think I could handle ubers on this current set up?

If not, what would you improve on? Mostly looking for self found or budget options (aka no point recommending me double grief and/or last wish)

HI! I use my frenzy barb (lvl 90) to kill ubers and my setup is similar to yours besides weapons (I use double griefs)
Only issue I see with your build is laying of hands. For ubers use those dracs you have in your inventory (for hardcore play I would never take them of :)) )
Another thing that would help your suvivability would be a verdungo’s belt (14-15dr) but only if you use dracs so you have enough life leech / life tap. the extra vitality from dungos help a bit in my experience (did runs with both on ubers)
Another cool trick would be to prebuff with treachery (keep it in your cube) and then switch to chains of honor.
Even if you have max res allready, uber mephisto has an aura that decrease res by 100 so prebuffing treachery helps you keep resistances to max
Your inventory should be full - no empty spaces - with res charms/life charms and max dmg

With Dracul’s/lifetap you will be fine, though DPS might be slow with that setup. The easiest improvement is to ditch one of the Oath/balrog blades and make a new Oath on a phaseblade for the main hand. Will be a large improvement in your attack speed.
Oath balrog needs 34 ias to hit the last bp, oath has 50ias so phase blade will be as quick but just less damage. what you are saying applies to grief
