Have you stopped playing?

I was super hyped upon release, I played like crazy and managed to build up to some awesome items. Shortly there after I lost interest and pretty much quit playing. I log in once a week to run meph, diablo and baal and have been disappointed. I like that they redid the game but I don’t have the energy to no life this game. I did well, made an Enigma and a Grief. It’s boring.

i haven’t stopped playing but i did take a break to play the halo infinite campaign and am now waiting excitedly for the balance changes and new rune words, i am debating if the runewords are enough to make me play ladder or if i will just wait the extra 4 months it will depend on how fun the runewords are on ptr.

Yeah, I stopped after the first 3 weeks or so. It’s just hard to do the same bologna after 20 years of it. I’m super psyched for the new patch though! You can bet money I’ll be on nonstop for the ladder.

never been a big fan of grinding endlessly.
Enjoyed the trading very much, but seems that have slowed down as well since ladder announcement, so I didn’t log in a week or so (but well I am quite busy right now). Nevertheless kinda bored with the game atm

The way I play D2 and POE is like this:

Launch of new D2 League (D2R launch was like a new Ladder basically)

  • LOVE Ladder Reset - Fresh Economy, Everyone starts from scratch, Addicting Item and XP Grind

  • Race with my team to kill Hell Baal within 4-5 hours of Launch

  • Grind the next 2-4 days to get my Enigma/Forti/Hoto/Spirit & Uniques

  • Grind another 2-3 Weeks to get rich and min-max build

  • Stop Playing

Launch of new POE League

  • LOVE Fresh Leagues - Fresh Economy, Everyone starts from scratch, Addicting Item and XP Grind

  • Race Solo on day one to maps in 5 hours

  • Setup Basic Atlas completion 50-100 maps in 5-6 hours

  • Grind the next 2-3 weeks to get rich and min-max build

  • Stop Playing

Wait for new D2/POE Ladder/League

  • Watch NETFLIX and play World of Tanks

  • Read about NOOBS whining and moaning on D2R Forums on how difficult it is to find items or kill monsters

  • Worry about how Blizzard is ruining the Remaster of D2

  • Do NON-Gaming stuff

Ladder is garbage because trading is allowed, and trading allows pay to win, pay to win allows leaderboard placement for people who didn’t earn it.

Want to make ladder real interesting, make it legitimate by making all items account bound so no one can use a pay to win method. Doing that means anyone on ladder has earned it not had things handed off to them.

People who try to use trading as an excuse to hide behind because they don’t have time to grind, shouldn’t be in this game then. Don’t get me wrong, trading is fine for non-ladder, but trading needs to stop when it comes to ladder.

If you want to argue keep trading on ladder ok I’m for that as long as the leaderboard is removed.

peopel want the ability to both pay to win and show it off in a place they didn’t earn it.

So as i said when in ladder either trading shouldn’t be allowed because of teh leaderboard placement, or keep trading and remove the leaderboard not allowing people to show off in a board that is is supposed to be reserved for legitmate players.

Allowing trading means the leaderboard has no point.

Trading is the biggest reason ladder is fun in the first place.

People who complain about a fundamental, core element of D2 shouldn’t play D2.

same, I’m kind of burned out from the intensive farming repetition. I’ve acquired quite a lot, 2 enigmas, 3griefs, 2x 363 CTAs, 1x 463CTA, infinity, and bunch of other good items. I just play casually nowadays, even a ber rune drop doesn’t excite me as much as it used to now :stuck_out_tongue:

This is just how it happens when you cheat and buy your items from a 3rd party site, game gets boring. Try playing legit makes the game a lot more interesting for longer time.

Lol, that’s just what baddies think who don’t know how to play D2 efficiently, while the rest of us get rich. I found 20-30 HR’s of gear in the first 2 weeks from farming one area on one character.

either you’re not farming efficiently or you’re definitely doing something wrong, it’s so easy to amass HR as long as you sink in enough hours to play this game. Trading is an easy way get rich too, and I didn’t even use djsp or what not, all I used was this forum and traderie. Easy game.

I dont see a point playing nonseason honestly so i wait for ladder. But i didnt stop playing. I play offline and doing MF tournament now with some long time D2 players.

You should try hardcore, its more challenging and more about actualy playing.

I still play it but not as much. My goal is to make a pvp bowzon in non-ladder which I can’t do atm due to 3/20/20 small charms costing a fortune.

Back in legacy, I would actively play ladder for magicfind and trade ladder items for pvp non-ladder items with those that I was close with. If you aren’t into pvp, I recommend you to try it. It’s a huge part of the game

Nobody is forcing you to trade. Just dont and you will be self found.

Waiting for ladder. Excited for the balance coming.

I farmed and hustled on jsp until shakos were selling for less than 100fg. Then I went on vacation and didnt play for a week. I came back early november, used my fg to build a few gg pvp characters, and pvp a few hours a day. Normally ill cap my day off with a few baal runs. Now we have a significant portion of ppl geared for pvp and the game is getting really fun. Competitive pvp ladders are up and running for anyone who wants to join.

Obviously! Vanilla D2 is probably the most boring game to date, thought we’d be able to play with mods so gave it a swift uninstall. That and the bat munchers really stink up the server.

I actually haven’t played in 3 months. But I’ve been dabbling with modding and putting a D2R level together.

If the devs can fix the lobby/gamelist with a search filter for ladder, I’ll definitely play daily. If they don’t fix it and it’s still hard to find baal runs, meh, I might have to look elsewhere.

What you call efficiency, I call cheesing.
For the game to be challenging and fun, don’t take short cuts.
I play self found single player, it’s not for many, but boredom
doesn’t rear it’s ugly head for quite a while.
Nothing wrong with your way, but calling others baddies cause
they don’t cheese it, is wrong.
