Hardest Monsters in the Game?

It’s not Baal. It’s not the Guardians. It’s not the Cow King. It’s not Stygian Dolls.

Arguably, the hardest monsters in the game are the monsters immune to you especially when they are in packs.

On me becoz I am a Hammerdin, my hardest foes are those immune against my Blessed Hammers. The main example of such mob/s is the Unraveler… Undead Summoner immune to magic. These immune mobs start to show up on Act 2 Hell and more of these pops out on Act 3 Hell. And of course, you have beat a pack of these before you could reach Baal Hell.

What did I use to kill mobs immune to me? A single point on Smite… sorry I cheated, I have +6 to skills on my items so I could have +7 on Smite. And of course, the killer of mobs that I cant kill is my mercenary. ROFL.

Here’s my video of Hammerdin’s hardest Nemesis in Diablo 2. Me Vs Unravelers… before Baal Hell… all on SOLO. I only had +4 to skill on this video.

I am having fun on this game. I had a blast. GG. If you could show us your video too against your immune mob, please, I wanna see them.

Unraveller can be killed with holy bolt if you didn’t know.

And you need a lot of points on it to be effective. I know I tried it. I rather use the points on B Hammers, Blessed Aim, Concentration, Vigor and Holy Shield.

I only have 1 pt in it and that’s what I use for wave 2. Blessed hammer is a synergy to it… it does about 500 dmg per.

It’s still small. Smite prevents mob from casting… less 1 skelly I guess so that the Merc is not distracted. Want her to attack the Unraveler not the skellies. Merc Damage is higher than 500 dmg as she is using x300 against Demon/Undeads. And I believe I am not wearing gear with x300 against Undead/Demon becoz it’s useless on Hammers.

Halls of Vaught vipers are the hardest mob in the game. With one desynch, they can take out your character in under a sec with ease.

My sorceress has 2.3k health, and they can often kill me in 0.1 second if I don’t really see their “poison” cloud. It’s not poison damage, it’s actually a mix of poison and physical that hits you really really really fast if you move an inch inside the cloud.

With my level 94 sorceress, I don’t even bother going there, as I can lose hours of xp progress because I stopped paying attention for half a second.

Arguable. But my strat is always run a bit to the room then run out and leave. I dont zerg myself to them. I let them come out. And a cloud of hammers waiting for them when they come out… The rogue too hits some of them and slows them.

I know those Vipers. I saw them… killed me once I think. But most of the time, they die thru my cloud of Hammers before they reach me.

Your “hardest” monster is only “hardest” because the very very op hammerdin is unable to damage them. It’s like, welcome to the sorceress world, where half of the enemies are immune to you.

But the Halls of Vaught vipers, who you think aren’t that strong, can take down just about anyone in under a sec, with burst damage above any of the Uber bosses.

Sure, you can be very careful, take things slowly it taking the spiders out. But most of the time, when you mf, you get in some kind of rythm, and then BANG, you get one-shotted by the viper, because you were singing your favorite song out loud.

Oh that’s funny you are using a rogue…

I understand most of you make Hammerdins only after making a Sorcerer.

Well, I skipped all the Sorcerer thing. Went straight level up a Hammerdin.

There was also a point in time during my journey when I get frustrated to realize that all I do would be Hammers and run. I even collected lots of powerful weapons just to realize those weapons are garbage for Hammerdins becoz Hammerdin’s weapon is all Hammers. I can unleash Hammers even with unarmed. ROFL.

Also those items you see +1000 Max damage, +1000 Min Damage, X1000 against Demons, X1000 to Undead, etc. All of those are useless for Hammerdins. It just made the game less complicated though. All we look for is +X to skill and +Faster Cast Rate. It’s too lame. Isnt it?

But I went ahead to play my lame Specs. ROFL. I just abuse it. Kill everything.

I am not singing while I am playing. But I like to imagine you singing then get one-shotted. ROFL.

Yeah, I like to play something away from meta. You guys play Sorceress. I will play a Hammerdin. You guys play a Polearm Merc. I will play any Merc not the Polearm Merc. You guys play Multiplayer and get carried and get runes on Bosses/mobs you cant kill. I play Solo coz I hate carries and I hate runes that I didnt personally loot. BTW, I made my own Fortitude runeword from my own rune farming. But I killed Hell Baal first before I completed the Fortitude.

Whatever it is, it at least has the Fast attribute.

You mean you don’t like a monster flying in at mach 12 then one shotting you? lol

I think the mach 12 hit one of my hammers. I think I heard a clank. Oh there it is. A dead viper. ROFL.

I think your video is a joke that it takes so long to kill an unraveller and it is because you dont use holy bolt and you use a rogue. I also think its a joke that you say “play something away from meta” when you are literally playing the most powerful build in the game.

Nah… Sorcerers are way more popular… more OP at start until they reach Hell. ROFL.

People make Sorcerers before Hammerdin. Not the other way around. Most use Sorcerers for farming.

Hope my Video would make Hammerdins popular. It’s really simple. Just Hammer and run. But Hammers could be frustrating if it’s not hitting the target/s. That’s why I chose the Rogue. The rogue always hit the target even though sometimes its AI is dumb on positioning.

Oh I did not know that thank you for the information.

Possessed fanatic teleporting pain worm.

Just because they’re different.

atm I distract them with decoy or Valkyrie and let my merc poke them to death or skip them

Think yourself lucky there’s not a lot of immunes for you. I’ve already started dreaming of having an infinity again

Too lazy to make a video though sorry

This. Though I will say there can be some nasty rogue archer packs in the Forgotten Tower, and The Pit. Those can really blindside you if they’re extra strong, multiple shots, with a fanaticism aura, maybe extra fast or fire enchanted or something too…
