I’ve heard different opinions about the Griffon helm and if it works with traps. I’ve been told it don’t at all because the traps are considered “pets,” not benefiting from he effects of the helm. I’ve also seen where some say the increase to lighting damage works but the reduction piece of the helm does not.
Anyone have a link to this topic or know for sure?
Traps are considered Summons and they do ‘‘NOT’’ receive the + % damage bonuses you gain from gear and buff.
Also they cannot receive other buffs like Barb Shouts or Auras (like most other pets) , because they are ‘‘untargetable’’.
As noted traps are ‘minions’ and do not benefit from item mods like griffins. Death sentry will not get the benefit from it. Shock web will.
Either way you are better off with a +3 traps circlet
