Can someone help me to recover my gold please? After death and I went back, my gears are in the same place but gold is not on the ground…This can’t be the way it should be right?

if it was in a multiplayer game someone prolly took it off the ground.Better stash your gold from now on
yeah I lost all of my gold as well. Been a long time since I have played and am relearning but Im getting no where with gold. BYE BYE.
how can I check if the game is multiplayer game or if someone took it? i check the log nobody entered my game.
Just try and stash it. I only get the option to drop the gold so someone can come steal it.
Depends on how much gold you had on you and how much gold the game took from you when you died, they may of even took stash gold. Heres another trick, store your gold in your mule tabs and you wont lose it if you die, Now wait till you get to NM good luck with that.
“If you are killed, your character will lose a percentage of the total gold both carried and stored in the Stash. This percentage is equal to your character’s level but will not exceed 20%. After this ‘death penalty’ is deducted, the remaining gold your character was carrying falls to the ground in a pile. If the penalty exceeds the amount of gold you were carrying, the remainder of the penalty is deducted from your Stash.”
However, if you put your gold in one of your SHARED stash pages, you will not lose that. So, try not to keep any gold on your person, and keep most of it in your shared stash

It’s the way it is…when you die your gold drops on the ground.
Some people will pick it up out of ignorance, and others on purpose. If you’re lucky and you happen to be in a game with good people they will leave the gold on the ground and Town Portal(TP) near your body for you to pick it up.
its my game nobody picks it up. its just gone
Just happened to me as well. I got locked out, when I logged back in my gold was gone and all I was able to get from my corpse was the gear.
Yea, my friend and I were playing and our gold would occasionally disappeared after death too. I think it’s another bug.
Gold isn’t really a big deal in this game. It’s worth nothing really anyway. You find tons of it just selling junk you fiind.
Someone took my gold? Uh who cares I’ll get more. Maybe early game it’s more important
Be glad its not like diablo 1 lol, your equipment your wearing drops as well in d1

This might sound strange. Are you using a controller or mouse and keyboard? I was using mouse and keyboard and my gold would be by my body. switched to controller and the gold would be gone. Switched back to mouse and keyboard and gold is back by my corpse on death. GL
This just happened to me tonight 
I went back to my corpse and was able to retrieve all my gear, but there was no pile of gold to be found from the looks of it, I guess I’m not alone in this. Sure it’s easy enough to recoup, but it’s the kind of thing that just shouldn’t happen.

This is how D2 has always worked though. If you die you lose gold, and at higher difficulty levels MORE gold and experience too.
If you don’t have enough gold in your bags to cover your death penalty it will take all from the bag + some from your Personal Stash.
If you exit game while dead and re-enter, any gold on the ground would be gone and your corpse and gear are in town.

As advice I would recommend you to keep your gold secure on shared tabs on stash. Can be annoying if you need repair, buyback your merc or buy something but would save you some headaches if you really need the gold down the road.
My advice only walk with around 100k on hand and the rest on shared stash tabs. 100k often are enough to revive merc, repair stuff and buy something interesting on vendors.
I know a percentage of gold is taken, but I’ve never died and not seen ANY gold on the ground near my corpse after the first death. I had 190k gold and not a single coin landed on the ground that I could see when I went back to my corpse. I’ve died plenty of times & am familiar with losing a portion of it, but I’ve never died and had all of it just vanish like that. The “kind of thing that just shouldn’t happen” remark was pertaining to what seems to be a bug where you die for the first time and all your gold vanishes.
I just had it happen with my character. Died, locked, got into a new game and had zero gold. I cannot rez my Merc or repair my gear.
Just walk away… sigh.
