I have been trying to complete the Blade of the Old Religion quest for quite awhile. On normal and nightmare, when I touch or toggle the thing, it would spawn mobs and on hell, it will not spawn any mobs no matter how many times I try it. I did some research and someone said that it might appear randomly around the whole map, but killed every mob in the map and still was not able to get it. Can you please fix this bug?
I can not look up names of quests but I can tell you the you are confusing quests. The drop from a mob on the map is jade figurine, not gibdinn. The gibdinn is found in the same area as the flayer dungeon in the flayer jungle. Light the fire, kill the flayer that spawns a few seconds later. It will drop the quest item
That is actually what I am talking about. I would lit the fire, but nothing gets spawned. Like I mentioned, I was able to complete the quest in normal and nightmare difficulty, but not in hell difficulty.

I had this issue twice and had to reroll several times to get the gidbinn drop.

keep making a new game until the monster spawns
He sometimes does not spawn immediately next to the activation point. Had this in the original version too. Sometimes you need to move around the area in which you activate it to find where he spawned. I find him often west of shrine by up to like 200 ft or so.
It happened to my amazon in nightmare, after lit the fire, I eliminated all the monsters in flayer jungle and Gidbinn did not appear. I left the game and entered again, went to the place and the flame was already lit, there were some monsters around, killed them all and the Gidbinn appeared.
