This game isn’t an esports title and doesn’t make Blizzard money. In other words, they don’t care.
the irony is… is… all they would need to do is fix the lobby to actually make money off the game.
allow us to block spam bots and filter messages, make our own chat channels.
and id recommend this game to people. that’s literally whats killing it… the lack of a usable lobby.
granted yes getting red of botters would certainly be a huge improvement but that would take continus effort and investment of money by blizzard
fixing lobby would be a 1 time cost.

of course not
but that would help the game more than any other change

Fixing the lobby isn’t going to make the game surge in profit. There are two types of players, diehards and everyone else. Everyone else that has bought the game has already moved onto something else.
The full extent of the botting problem in d2r is VAST.
Heres a fact to put it into perspective: about a month into each season, two clans get together to host “cloneageddon” where they spawn a dclone every 15 mins for about 5 hours.
That’s 20 dclone spawns x about 100 sojs per spawn. = 2000 sojs.
Botting has been a staple of D2 for the last 20 years, it needs it to survive.
No, it’s adult lowlife still living with parents basement dwelling neckbeard clowns who need the game and those with more money than brain cells to exploit by running bots and selling items. The game would not only survive, but be better off without them.
