Game resolution disorder

D2R game resolution@1280X720
Win 11 resolution@1920X1080
Graphics card: NVIDIA RTX 3060
After the version 2.3 update, I didn’t change any setting. But when I started gaming, the game resolution has been changed and more clear. I checked the game resolution setting is still@1280X720.
I prefer like the former gaming setting@1280X720.
Please tell me the solution.
Thanks

If the graphics are clearer (i.e. crisper/sharper) and your framerates are stable, I’m not sure I see the problem. The 3060 is a more than capable 1080p gaming card and can even do many games at 1440p with respectable settings. The input resolution is still 720p, only now your card is likely using the DLSS functionality built into the game. It boosts clarity on lower render scales/resolution without killing framerates.

However, if you really want the uglier looking graphics back, simply set your Anti-Aliasing mode to SMAA or TAA instead of DLSS. Avoid FXAA like the plague. Even a blind person wouldn’t want that setting.

Thank you sir. I already switched off the DLSS. Why the game resolution doesn’t follow the setting 1280X780 but follow the higher level?

In your OP you stated that the new resolution was the same as the old resolution “but looked clearer”. Could you post a link to a screenshot of your Video preference pane from within the game? You may need to encase it inside two ` marks like so:

www.YourURLHere.com

This way we might better understand what issue you are still having.

Edit: Forgot to mention that the default screenshot button for D2R is F13/PrintScr and the folder that contains those screenshots is located at:

C:\Users\WindowsAccountNameHere\Documents\Diablo II\Screenshots

hi sir,
I checked with other player with same card NVIDIA RTX 3060. All of them faced same problem. It looks like a bug. If we set resolution@1280X720, the game should show it exactly but not more clear.

If you want blurry graphics with no improvement, simply turn Anti-Aliasing to off. Otherwise the game appears to be working as intended.

I turn off the Anti-Aliasing. Now I open the DSLL in balance mode @1280X720. It seems based on 1280X720 DSLL working.

You aren’t making sense. If you turned off anti-aliasing in the game DLSS shouldn’t be active at all. Could you please list the exact actions you are taking in sequence?

Anti-aliasing is not active now.
DSLL is on, with balance model.
Game resolution@1280X720.

Would you please explain this in more detail? That means where this being set, etc. A screenshot would be immensely helpful to put a visual to what you’re trying to say as the wording you’re using is extremely vague. You can post a link to the screenshot via the method I mentioned earlier in the thread.

Hello sir.
I cannot upload any pic about the problem. My problem is clear the game resolution cannot follow the setting @1280*720 but follow the more clear image.
Is it a bug for graphic card suppporting DSLL? How to solve it?

You don’t upload the pic here. You upload to a site like imgur.com and then encase the URL in between two ` in the forum post here like so:

www.url.com
