So I am on windows 11. With more than enough system reqs. When I click the Play button on the blizzard launcher it turns to “Launching” then “Playing” Then after about 3 seconds it turns back to “Play”. No screens pop up. The game just literally doesn’t load in at all. I have tried:
Fresh installing drivers
Launching in windowed mode
disabling all overlay applications
running in all the compatability modes
I have tried I think everything and nothing is working. Any ideas on how to fix this?
M8 you seek the problem on windows side while it is clearly the problem with battlenet app or the gameclient itself…
-try repair the battlenet app by the app menu and if that doesn’t help try fixing the game client form cogwheel next to play button… those two usually help with such issues…
also disabling battlenet app hardware acceleration or setting the battlenet app to exit once the game starts also may help… i usually ditch the battlenet app and simply launch from a shortcut. this also fixes a couple of other issues like in game stuttering and or fix crappy CPU core parking, all with a simple double click on a shortcut…
FYI, Im having the same problem and your advice did not solve the problem.
Game fully crashing on boot as well, isn’t providing any error notifications.
Win 11, NVidia Studio driver 577.00 (currently - issue has persisted for more than one version.) 3070Ti, Ryzen 7900X, 64gb RAM. Played perfectly fine before June.
Have attempted multiple re-installs and file verifications. Game will launch, go through intro animations, then the moment it tries to actually connect to anything it hard crashes to desktop.
This has persisted for nearly 2 full months. Nothing I can feasibly do as a user has resolved the issue, other than uninstalling the game and playing something else. Rolling back drivers is not an option due to the nature of my work.
What gives?
yeah M$ has problematic updates since at least march 2025, each month the re seem to be problems touching differen users, even july was hit by problems, perhaps things have started past patch tuesday in june? a.k.a. second tuesday of the month? of so You have your answer…
