It’s been few days I’m having random crashs, it can be at start, during a map loading. I noticed it crashs more in multiplayer games.
I played the game with no problem for 6 months.
I tried updating windows 10 & gc drivers with no success.
It seems to be related to memory because it makes crash chrome also

Looking over the crash report the crash seems to be an Access Violation.
Essentially the game client is asking for a resource and is not able to access it.
The most common causes are typically out of date drivers/OS, Conflicting software competing for the same resources, corrupt game client data or a potential hardware issue.
Drivers and OS looked ok from the crash report, I didn’t see any obvious software conflicts.
I do need to call out one thing.
Your CPU is unsupported for Diablo II: Resurrected.
The minimum requirement is an Intel® Core i3-3250 and the system in question appears to be running an Intel® i7-860 Which was released back in 2009.
This doesn’t mean the game won’t work, we just can’t promise you it will. And even if it does work, any time an update is released that may break things for you.
It also means we don’t have any troubleshooting we could really offer besides make sure everything on the system is as up to date as possible, remove potential software conflicts by temp disabling or uninstalling other software from the system. You can also try reinstalling the game to get a clean install.
It is also possible someone here in the community has had a similar situation and may have some additional advice they are welcome to add here but beyond that, our recommendation would be look into replacing the system with one that meets our recommended specs if not the minimum requirements.
Indeed, I had the AVX trouble the first month but it got fix since them. This is weird because I don’t think I changed anything on the comp, I had no trouble leveling a character to level 87 on ladder.
I’m going to try to reinstall
EDIT: Reinstalled the game, still crashing, i guess this is the end for me & d2
chiming in to say i crashed about 1000 times since ladder started
usually at taking a wp to act 5 or creating game (when my char already in a5 i would be more likely to crash)
done reinstall, all win 11 and drivers up to date~
all default settings, no overclocks, system more than requirements in all categories.
very frustrating, literally crashed 5 times in a row+ creating a game til i worked out to press play and change difficulty so i wouldnt be in act 5,
would be great to see a permanent fix
