Game crashes right after I hit "play"

This has been happening every time I try to start playing for the last couple of days, whether online or offline. I just installed the game, and every time I load it, I get a message urging me to install the latest drivers for my graphics card or else. My graphics card has the latest drivers; I checked it. I’m not getting an “incompatible graphics card” error, and I was able to play twice; enough to get a character up to Level 5 without any problem. Since those two brief sessions, nothing. I have had at least a dozen failed startups. I tried dumbing down the graphics settings to no effect. (Again, the game ran fine when I did get in and play, even when there were a lot of monsters in frame). Help?

Pot your specs. Laptop or pc?

Pls make this:

Once you have that made, open the file. Copy the code below, then copy/paste everything from that DXDiag file between the rows of tilde (~) marks where it says “DXDiag goes here.”

If the file’s too large to submit, you can upload it to a file hosting site like pastebin and post the link in the code above instead.

Copy… what code below? I looked for some code, and tilde marks, but I could not find them. I am not trying to be a smartaleck, but I don’t want to just post my specs out there in public. If there is a way to provide them to you securely, I have that file ready for you.

I am having the exact same issue, but didn’t even get to the main screen before crashing. I have researched everything I need to do update graphics and drivers, but it is still crashing. I am not sure why I would need their specific graphics card to run a 20 y/o game, even with updates.

The graphics are completely redone, so I can see why we might need a top-of-the-line graphics card, or something close to it. The 3D renderings are really impressive. On the other hand, this machine did (and does) run DIII/ROS just fine; I still play it every now and then with my Paragon 468 characters when I want to smash some stuff. There was a period of time when the exact same thing was happening with that game, but a patch came out and that stopped happening. Curious…

The support here write the same. I copied it so when he looks in this post he can answer directly. It’s upon you to post your specs but without them it’s a bit difficult Tonias why you are crashing. In many other threads the people have no problem with posting dxdialog or specs.

It sounds like you are using a Intel HD Graphic Card. Is that right?

It’s an Intel UHD card, but yes. Do you still want that file?

Intel GPUs are not supported. You are lucky when it works sometimes.

From the support:

I tried to send you the text you asked for, but it was WAY too long, and apparently I can’t send links in my reply. The whole file is full of link-formatted strings. I don’t know what you want from me. My graphocs card works fine for UHD movies, any other game I have ever tried, and I am not going to pay $9.99 a month to Intel for updating service to check for the latest, when Windoze tells me that I am using the latest drivers. I’ll try to isolate the graphics informatin from that file, if that’s what you wanted.

That’s the driver and card information. I saw that Intel graphics cards are not supported. Was that information provided before I bought the game, and I missed it? I have a laptop, as you no doubt already know, so there’s not much I can do to change anything.
