At level 78 I’ve gotten dozens of long war bows (normal version), a few gothic bows (exceptional version), but still not one hydra bow (elite version). Anyone know what level you need to be at to start getting the hydra bow?
You will get it from pindleskin way before you gamble that thing with 5 billion gold

Damn, and all I need is one magic hydra, was gonna try re-rolling the stats with the dozens of perfect gems I had. Thanks for the info. So just any high level hell monster, pindleskin was just an example I assume?
I think the odds are like 1:2000for a unique and 1:30 for an elite

Ya, I don’t expect to get lucky enough for the unique hydra, just hoping for a magic one for now.
Seems like higher character level would help you out, gambling items ilvl = clvl-4 to clvl+5, so you’re at the minimum character level to even get a hydra bow (ilvl 74 for plain).

Does the 4 socket hydra have grey or blue text on hover over? I was looking for a magic hydra, though I’m wondering what a runeword could do to a hydra bow. Would it be more powerful than a runeword socketed into a gothic bow (not sure how much the base item affects runewords.)
Other than the odds, there are so many unique bows that it is not worth gambling for. You will have better odds finding a griffons. One of my mates got one gambling
Its a Grey Hydra bow 4 sockets, what level are you?
High Rune Bows are Ice and Faith, both 4 sockets,
Ppl also use Grand Matron bows for these rune words
Yes The Base Matters, Gothic isnt great for high end
Char gambling is now 79, though bowazon is 75. Jah rune looks to be an ingredient for both of those runewords, might be awhile before I get a Jah. I’ll keep a lookout for Grand Matron bows as well. Ya the ED% is applied to base I see now, so higher the base, the higher the result.
