I have a truckload of red essence from chaos runs, (I just find chaos the most fun, unfortunately)
I’d like to convert it to some greens and yellows if anyone has an over abundance of those.
its like 10 to 1 yellows.

I also have a sh**it load of Diablo essence, Want to exchange them against Destruction or Hate essence

Jk. Wow this might actually be a problem everyone has. I thought for sure there’d be someone who just loves meph/Baal runs, and is tripping over those yellows and greens, as I am with reds lol
It also doesnt help… out of 35 Baal runs I just did, he dropped 0 essence…

Go for Baal in public games with more players in, cow games for example are perfect for that. I used to get more green essences in that way compared to solo Baal. If the party is not that strong then you may do Diablo as well (just the 3 seals and Diablo).
Blue and red are the least valuable essences, you can already buy 20 per Ist while yellow and green have more significant value in terms of runes. You may trade Ist for 3-4 yellow and Ist for 2 green.
I usually buy essences with runes and the only exception is yellow/green which I may trade for each other. (I used to trade 1.5 yellow for 1 green however there are players who prefer 2:1 rate and of course the greedy ones who want 3:1 ratio. 
)
I don’t have experience in red vs yellow/green, but in my view the ratio is not as bad as 1:10 as bracer028 indicated.
