Frenzy Issues On Console

Other meele abilities seem to make your character step toward an enemy to attack them, however frenzy does not for some reason. This makes it very difficult to hit with it, and to build stacks with it. I end up doing more damage using double swing since double swing does utilize the stepping toward an enemy that is near. The targeting/ interaction with frenzy isn’t working as it should. When I am surrounded by multiple enemies and I take down the first with frenzy the enemies are still attacking me, but in order for me to attack them I have to reposition my character in order to hit them. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Frenzy barb was awesome on pc as the character moved to the target before attacking, however this isn’t the case on console at all.

I’m having the exact same problem and it’s not just console. It’s on pc too with controller. It’s weird because it worked correctly on the beta and now it’s not. Try to share this link and others like it everywhere you can so we can get this fixed. I’ll be doing the same

Bump. I am having the same problem(Nintendo Switch) . I’ve combatted this by alternating between frenzy and double swing. Double swing will get me within striking distance and then I start frenzy. I do wish I could hold down the attacks and my character would just walk until it came within striking distance and then begin attacking.

I have a more serious issue with frenzy/double swing though. They glitch often when attacking at certain angles. My character often locks up mid swing and stutters until I either move to a better angle of attack or move my stick in another direction, which results in me attacking air or a different monster.

I also tried whirlwind because I found a weapon with +1ww and Jesus christ, what a dumpster fire that is to use. Jerky ww, often goes in a straight line even if I change direction, wind animation on a walking character…

Barbarian is currently gimped on console. They need to fix frenzy and make it so that if you release the button, whirlwind will end

I’m having the same problem with Frenzy on controller. Frenzy needs to be fixed ASAP on console and PC when using controller.

same problem here here here

Same for me. I already accepted that I can’t leap attack past mobs if there is an enemy infront of me like you can with PC but having frenzy work the way it does is ridiculous. I’m just double swinging for now until I respecc to whirlwind but reading these comments apparently that’s not very good on console either

I noticed that I can’t use potions while using ww. I don’t know if this has always been like this, but it’s annoying.

Also, to help with frenzy I use a controller with the ability to turn on turbo(fast button press with holding down of the button). This has its drawbacks, but allows me to alternate between frenzy and double swing and stay within reach and constantly swinging. Without turbo I find that alternating and holding the button down will often time out the previous attack and cause mh cheracter to just stand there until I press the button again.

Yeah it’s not as good as on console as pc but ww got me tru all 3 difficulties solo and the short little ww if you read pro diablo player blogs or watch videos they say to do short triangle shaped sweeps on bosses or groups to do maximum damg and as is short sweeps are good but going in straight line over and over without changing direction is bloody annoying to say the least and ww in place sometimes gets annoying but I can literally solo all of hell with my ww barb just haven’t tried ubers with him yet
