I’ve been experiencing my mouse cursor freezes for a second repeatedly once I get to the past the Diablo II title screen. All the graphics during the freezing still continues to play though nice and smoothly. But it makes the game unplayable for me. I’m running Windows 10 on an Alienware 17 laptop with onboard Intel HD 4600 graphics and a Geforce Nvidia 780MX for gaming. Intel i7-4900MQ @2.8 GHz with 24 Gb of RAM. I’ve put all my settings on the lowest and even tried the highest with same results. One thing I did discover, but still makes for a poor gaming experience, is if I disable the Intel 4600 graphics driver in Device Manager, the freezing goes away, but frame rate goes down dramatically to no higher than 10 fps.
I hope you can figure this issue out for me as this is one of my favourite games from my past.
