4th difficulty
Higher mob density
More difficult mobs obviously
All areas level 95+
Now you can gain Xp outside of Diablo, Baal, nihl from anywhere
There would be a ton of balancing but gives you another tier of difficulty to gain the last XP levels as well as a harder test for skilled/geared players

Either that or give us uber keys that unlock those versions of maps. These keys can drop in hell that contain a random map with different affixes both beneficial and detrimental to some characters. Similar to PoE but keeping hell difficulty relevant.
Like for example, I’m farming pits and I get a key drop that has the following:
Uber Arcane Sanctuary
-+(100%-250%) MF
-+(100%-250%) Exp
-all monsters at least have an additional immunity (fire)
(they are level 95 so I’m expecting tankier/hard hitting monsters anyway)
These keys can also be kinda interesting for the economy, you could trade them for keys that are easier to run for your main.

perhaps have each uber give exp equal to nm ancients? I think right now it’s not even norm ancients.
For please have the entire thing unlocked. I like the idea minus the 4th run through.
The Torment Levels are the one D3 thing I really liked.

Adding something similar to the Torment difficulty levels could be pretty cool. I wonder if you could do Torment for non-ladder and ladder, but making the only difference is that in Ladder you have access to the Torment exclusive items.
Non-ladder Torment - still have the rest of the +Gold Find, +Magic Find, and +XP be accessible.
Ladder Torment - same as non-ladder, but also include the Torment Exclusive loot as well.
Doesn’t require a new Act or anything. Adding the torment-exclusive items would be done at the same time they are creating new ladder-exclusive items/runewords as well so it doesn’t require any new concepts. Same game, same concept, just scaled difficulty and gives another benefit to ladder (while still having the scaled difficulty access in non-ladder)

Yep. They should really consider more challenging content since it encourages end-game teamplay.
Not sure about 4th difficulty with everything at 95, but I get that you’re just generalizing.
PD2 maps were the best thing so far IMO regarding improved end-game content. Gigantic (like, really big) maps with a few new superunique monsters. I think they just used existing monsters and buffed their hp/damage like the ubers.
Maps would roll with +MF and +XP and an area level of 85 - 99 or something. All maps are tradable.

What I was about the say. More monster packs and elites would make it easier to find higher runes. You really want to kill those champions and uniques like crazy. But heavy monster packs of normal monsters are good too but the chances are more slim from normal monsters. I would take the bigger, stronger, and faster monster packs while leaving everything else untouched.
This would make more sense to me.
It would add more Xp with density as well as more chances.
Or make sure every pack has a unique, but something in that realm.
Rather than another difficulty, I think it would be awesome if they incorporated it into the rumored Act VI.
Make Act VI only available in Hell Mode and Act VI would function as the final proving grounds for players with Area Levels set to 90 - 95 in the act depending on zone. Maybe have the final boss be a Pandemonium battle with Andariel, Duriel, Mephisto, Diablo and Baal all at the same time (in their Uber forms). Monster HP’s multiplied by 10 or some other figure and Elite Packs spawn with 1 or 2 additional modifiers in this final act.
I’d much rather have a fully realized act than another difficulty level…but incorporate the increased difficulty only in the new act that is only accessible in Hell Mode after completing the Baal quest arc.

I think we can all agree though, that something could be added that would give more XP options late game.
Like if I’m level 95 and want to run 85 zones instead of the same 3 bosses I should get some experience too.
If they arnt willing to give me that experience then something needs to be added
I’m not looking to make the grind to 99 simple.
I just think what we have now is way too narrow and dry to grind those levels
Just remove the exp penalty for being over level 70
You would level way too easily.
I’m not an advocate for over simplification of D2. Save that for the other diablos
You’d still level slow from 95-99 all the penalty does is arbitrarily lengthen the leveling process. But the time your 95 the game isn’t hard anyway
Sounds good it should also have way more drop rates, like Countess drops HRs way more often.

I’m all for a 4th difficulty! Make the monster HP’s much worse than Hell version, and the drops more like NM. That way people are playing for the challenge and not for the bigger bucks.
Which sounds like “end game” to me…
