Forum Trust Level 3

It’s a lame system that limits anyone that’s ever posted a controversial opinion.

Sometimes I have funny, relevant gifs that I want to post, or informative links, but I’ll never be able to post them. Oh well, that’s the internet these days. Say something somebody doesn’t like once and you’re done.

You can have a controversial opinion. I have. If you stick to the argument, do not make personal attacks, and obey the forum CoC, you will be fine.

If it makes you feel better Darklite maybe they can go back to the previous software.

Nobody could post images or links there so nobody could feel left out.

Exactly.

Fine by me.

“Dadddddyyyyy. If I can’t have it no one can!”

So I was Level 3 when I first posted this on the forums:

I thought I got my trust level from being on forums from WoW.

Trust levels are forum specific.

By all means, explain to me how creating a caste system that limits basic functionality is the better option for a discussion board.

damn i missed logging into the forum on 9 days :frowning:

lol false. I have had a few “vacations” here from people. One time was for literally putting a racist in his place and I didn’t even cuss, another time was for “harassment” which is really funny when they “the person who claimed harassment” came on all strong and got smoked then I got the hammer.

Oh and if you get a suspension you lose all your rank and have a probationary period and have to reaquire it without hurting anyone’s “sensitivities”, but it is totally cool if they attack you full throttle. You better just report or say nothing is what they want…lame.

for me it simply says ‘trust level: member’ even though I believe I ought to qualify for at least 2.

Yeah, ‘member’ means you are Level 2.
You can also check your .json file, and it will show you which Trust Level you are at.

https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/d2r/u/Tyrion-1705.json

Look for the phrase “trust_level”
The one with the highest number you see is your current trust level.
You should see three instances of it at this time.
trust_level_0, trust_level_1, and trust_level_2
When you see “trust_level_3,” you’ll be at that level, and “member” will change to “regular.”

The weird thing with the trust system is it incentivized spamming, guys pre-launch just kept making the same posts and comments and then turns out he was just doing it for the forum rank. I mean okay makes sense to a point but he seemed to argue just to get the points.

Awesome thank you for the info! Bummer I’m only two, not sure which criteria I’m missing but nbd.

quite the odd loyalty system, but it’s interesting seeing other ways to do things.

Gratz, you have unlocked white knight status.

  • Must not have received more than 5 spam or offensive flags (with unique posts and unique users for each, confirmed by a moderator)… I legit received a flag for my BNet NAME, and some smoothbrain moderator confirmed it. It’s not my fault if Blizz puts the word in their character name, then change her pose because it’s too buttcentric.

No, it doesn’t. You only need to make 10 posts total if my memory is correct.

No, trust levels don’t travel outside the specific game forums. They are separate.

You got to post that below TL3 because YouTube is white listed and allowed below TL3. There are a handful of sites that are white listed.

Except it shows a total lack of understanding of the system. Posting is not what gets you TL3. You don’t need to do much of that at all. It is almost all just reading, tossing out some likes, and a few well thought out comments here and there that get positive interactions.

Spamming just get you reported…and that blocks TL3 for a long time if a Mod agrees with it.
