For Blizz DEVs: Why not Crescent Moon RW in Amazon Spears?

Hi people,

With the 2.4 the Spearzon build finally makes sense thanks to the fact that Infinity can now done in Amazon weapon.

But why not Crescent Moon RW? That’s fit perfect for a Lighting Spearzon and can easily be the budget version if you can’t afford the price for an Infinity.

You guys have taken in considerarion this Runeword or you simply forgot because in actual state of the game no one ever used?

unpopular opinion: i think it would be op. i havent run the numbers on that one, the -35 lightning res, just for um…

Suuuuuuure. As if lightning Amazon would be weak lol.

Let us not care about actually weak classes or builds. Just keep buffing sorc, pala or Lightning Zon.

This is not Lighting Fury Javazon, it’s the melee version that no one ever used prior 2.4

They make more base item options for RWs, and next you’ll see is RWs in boots, belts and gloves. So no. Enough of that. Or take away other base item options, before adding new ones.

Don’t understand your point.
This is not a new RW or something make a build more powerful. Would only a cheaper and less effective option for the 2.4 melee spearzon build.
The BiS option remain Infinity, FAR BETTER than ipotetical Crescent Moon Spear. Nothing can change the META, but imho a useful way to give an utility for a RW that no one ever made :smiley:

technically speaking it isn’t any more op than infinity. Besides plenty of other builds are already using Crescent Moon for their own build already

SF from Crescent Moon is actually a great way to help with melee spearzon with their “lack” of aoe"

infinity’s rune cost is 2x ber, crescent moon costs um. thats a difference. the plenty of other builds cant captalize on the -35% lightning res. thats not little. i think only a vengeance paladin would be able to do so, and lightning damage is only 1/3 a part ofthe damage he deals out.

Static field itself is already capitalizing that -35% lightning resist. All you really need is some multi hitting weapon to trigger sf and it’s a overall life improvement air for them

I mean more RWs are allowed into more bases, the more unique items are pushed off the table of options. I get what you want, and why. But it only would be another LF build but in melee. And backing yourself up whit SF on top of the -35% lightning res, does sounds OP for the price of Crescent Moon. If you want SF to back up your lightning spearzon build, get an A3 light merc.
