First impressions

First thoughts:

  • can’t wait to try a full summoner druid. Raven looks strong, has to be tested. Will try using one of the wolves. And test how Spirit of Barb works instead of Heart of Wolverine.
    Perhaps a hybrid with fire skills and Spirit Wolves is an option? Like a druidish fire/cold sophisticated sorceress.
  • wonder if druids’s armageddon is viable. It doesn’t hit much, we will see in tests. Also curious if Arctic blast can be used as wearbear now… hm, not my first choice. Can’t wait to test a Wearbear with maul,fire claw etc.
  • Bladesin (assassin) looks extremely strong, has to be tested. Looking forward to play this build! Ofc you can’t use an etheral anymore for more damage if you use the skill just after Blade Fury (cant remember name).
  • I hope a martial art assassin is an option now, nobody played it before, only the first finish move maxed. Looks good you have to have a charge to have an always hit. Does venom show accurate damage now in the Character screen?
  • Amazon: Melee and bows has to be tested. Wonder if everybody used Strafe now instead of Multishot, since only Strafe was improved in a pure bowazon. Super super with the dodge/avoid improvements.
    Looking forward to test Slow Missiles, looks cool. I don’t think any will use the skill just before that reduces enemy defenses… Impale has been improved but I won’t use it.
    Can’t wait to play different Amazons!! Everybody played with Lightning Fury before. Looks like the amazone can really shine now without being OP.
  • Possible new sorceress builds now: Frozen Orb/Blaze. If you have +skills you will get a lot of run speed… Or Frozen Orb/Hydra/FireBall or Frozen Orb/Nova or Frost Nova/Nova/ManaShield.
    I still think most people will use Frozen Armor instead of the other armors. We will see.
  • Barbarian: I’m glad the leaping animation has been improved.
  • interesting with all the mercernaries opertunities. Just wonder how strong enchant will be from the level 3 fire merc, with +skills on him. Especially on a bowazon…

Suggestions:
Barbarian: Improve whirlwind a little, has been nerfed in the past - perhaps with less damage reduction at level 1. Bigger stash size for throwing weapons, a lot bigger 3x or so; with one in each hand they run out fast, I guess.
Amazon: 2x stash size of javelins. Reduce the chance of losing durability from Impale skill, or remove it with something else. It is 45% chance of losing durability at level 1. I played the ESP mod where it only was 1% chance. Perhaps look at this.
Druid: Armageddon has a lot of preskills to develope, perhaps remove the prereq. from hurricane, so only the fireskills are prereq.
Paladin: Nerf Hammerdins a bit.

100% this, coming back to play just for the fire druid.

You need to have a strong grizzly, and oak sage, and maybe carrion vine to make yourself really tanky…

Then you need to telestomp into a big monster pack - I like to use holy freeze merc with reapers toll (for decrepify). Decrepify and hold freeze make enemies attack veeeeery slow, so you are safe to tele-stomp them…

Armageddon absolutely wrecks monsters if you do this :wink: 100% of the meteors hit the monsters and everything dies very fast (even faster if you have infinity)

The other trick you can use with Armageddon is to use werewolf or wearbear… The werebear is especially good because of shockwave… these skills increase your survivability a lot and let you stand in the middle of packs and maximises the number of meteors that hit monsters…

The key to making armageddon good is to get yourself into melee range… you need to make your druid tanky…

Glass-cannon builds that don’t use oak sage, carrion vine, grizzly, cyclone armour etc, arn’t tanky enough, that’s why some people think armageddon sucks…
