Fire is the most common element in hell…
It’s the easiest element to gain access to deal as a source of damage as well as the most prevalent resistance on enemies
if you do this you might as well replace all three mastery skills for the sorc with the same one, just a flat damage increase from the mastery plus a scaling -resistance for every couple of points.
i’d rather see more “-X% enemy fire resistance” gear in the game than that
When you say are terrible… what you really mean is “isn’t ez mode”, right?
Any single element sorc is going to have problems in some areas. If you don’t want to experience that… go dual elemental. The tools exist to solve your problem, you simply refuse to use them.
And this is coming from someone who ALWAYS played a hydra/ orb sorc… for the past 20 years… whenever I wanted to play, I always started with a hydra/ orb sorc to MF. You never have to worry about respec, because you can build her right for end game starting at level 1.
I dont really play Hydra sorc, i only briefly tested her and she is doing great and its extremely safe build for hardcore. Its slower yeah but i think its good that there are build with very different playstyle like Hydra build.
Easy solution, farm zones without immunes or highly resistant monsters.
I don’t farm act 5 with a blizzard sorc either. Strange people, really
There are tons of great areas to farm with fire
Yes there are lots of places to farm with fire.
Was there a point to that statement or was it just something you were saying?
I was not sure what you meant. Thought you mean that there are many fire immunes. Thus, it is not as usable.
No I just meant that there are many fire immunes. Not that it’s unusable
Having a ball playing hydra/frozen orb.
If I run into a fire and cold immune, I static him down so my merc can kill it.
Pretty easy, even running in MF gear.
TLDR version:
guy gave op a full detailed list of farm areas for fire then op just said “nuh uh” and has been crying the rest of the time
Since you have nothing better to do while the servers are down.
Around 8:15 you’ll see a cool chart.
You need to reflect on this a bit more. You are missing a ridiculously obvious thing.
this is all known for what? over 30years now
complain here will have no effect, as long the ppl at blizz dno their own damn game (and mob imun/amount) it wont change a thing
Informative link on youtube
It was reference to MF runs, chaos and baal are obviously good for XP.
I think it’s important to recognize that there are at least 2 types of players one that are Super efficient, invested driven and end game best in slot collectors. Then there are those who don’t play optimally ( In my opinion if you play hybrid you are not optimizing. Sacrificing power for convenience) who won’t clear content as quickly as a dedicated meta build and are ok with a build that can’t clear most areas even with end game build. Nothing wrong with either, just pointing out some differences in playstyles and goals.
The latter suffers in ladder starts for competitive starts, there just better and cheaper builds.
Well, my 2cents:
- Blizzard sorceress = cheap, extremely potent for the cost. The problem is that at some point as a single element it doesn’t get better. It doesn’t matter whether your Blizzard shards do 9k per hit or 11k per hit because damage output is not your problem. So it has a pretty hard ceiling to crush through which it mostly can’t.
If you take two builds with skillers - one with Death Fathom, Nightwing’s, Arach Mesh and the other just full Tal’s, you will hardly see any difference between them. Because stuff that isn’t immune dies anyways and stuff that is immune mostly can’t be broken.
-
Lightning sorceress = meh before Infinity, strongest after. I have not tested extensively the Nova sorceress but I’m willing to believe that it’s strong as well. TBH tried few Chaos runs on P8 and went back to Lightning/CL very quickly but on lower p counts probably the situation is much better.
-
Fire sorceress = just below lightning if geared properly (similar gear), definitely below cold if not geared properly.
As for Chaos Sanctuary - I like it the best because
- It’s the most fun to run
- It has more predictable layout and access
- It has Diablo at the end
- It has excellent mob density
So while yea, it may not excel at any particular point, it definitely averages very high - and probably much higher than most other 85 areas - when you “just run it”. Obviously if one wants something specific (type) then there are specific better ways of getting it.
fire sorc is the best for durance of hate level 3 (and 2 really). Kills all the council and blood lords there most easily, and meph obviously
