Is it just me, or is it really difficult to select a corpse and cast it without selecting a live enemy? I find myself just spamming the right mouse button to see if anything will register a corpse explosion.

I am experiencing this too. been doing hell cows, and I’ll hear one go down, and I’m frantically clicking away trying to get the “dominoes” started, and it takes 3-4 seconds for the spell to pop off. Meanwhile, poor Emilio is fighting for his life wondering why I’m not helping him.

I’ve noticed this myself aswell since 2.4 it’s super hard to select a corpse to explode ill spam click a corpse 10-15 times and not have it explode at all. it’s super frustrating when ur spamming it on a pile of dead enemies only for nothing to happen at all. I was thinking it was a silent nerf
no notice … im using quick cast and mouse button 4, so just click and hold, and then circle around the battle site. i think ce have same behaviour like summon skills, you need to click somewhere close to corpse, so little skill is needed
Yeah i just hold on to right click and hit alt, does the trick usually.
But agree this is not ideal as right clicking CE still selects live mobs… If they can fix ww they can fix CE to only select corpses!

BUMP, this is HORRENDOUS now. Whoever decided to fix something that wasn’t broken needs to stop doing anything with this game period.

Overall the targeting in D2R feels like it became much worse.
Not just CE. Shooting arrows, bone spears, holy bolts, all of those straight-line piercing projectiles - i always find that they shoot not where I point the cursor.
Even teleporting sometimes teleports me on top of a monsters instead of where I point my cursor.
I think it has something to do with the changes they did to help controller gameplay

They definitely screwed up CE and I was hoping they could hotfix it but it’s been a month or more of this garbage.
there are many times where a corpse is under a giant mob (like the Venom Lords in Chaos) and I can’t select a corpse no matter what I do, so I have to wait for another 1-2 to die so I can get the dang thing to start the chain.
Very annoying.

Yes!! Please fix this? It seems like find item will just unleash everything, but corpse explosion I literally have to click a corpse… in the middle of giant packs of live monsters. This would be a very appreciated change

Same here - played CE Necro from launch of D2R just as I had before in D2, and there’s an issue with setting off CE no doubt. Please fix this!
It is also a lot harder to target corpses now to raise any army.
CE is worst on controller, you namelock but it uses corpses closest to you lol
Many times when raising my army I have to wait until the entire group is dead to get a skellie to come forth. Seems like the target area to raise skelly or ce has gotten much smaller and the target area isn’t even on the body but up above it.
