Feature Request - Gender

I should be able to make a female barbarian if I want to. Think Amazon but with muscle mommy milkers physique.

If I want to make a flat chested Sorc-man with hairy legs and a skirt I should be able to.

Female druid in skimpy forest attire.. Why can’t I?

Please get with the times and give us the option. There is like a bajillion genders, I’m only asking for like a couple more, tops.

a male javazon would not feel right at all for me. after all these years… lol but idk

when i think of the word javazon, a hot woman with a ponytail and great legs are synced together in my head. like instantly. don’t want this to ever change :frowning:

I think the devs keeping the spirit of the classic game alive with the fixed genders is absolutely fine. These characters are so iconic, and they’ve been remastered beautifully.

You know they have other Diablo games, like Diablo 3 or 4. If you want to play a Diablo game that lets you choose your gender, play one of those.

I wouldn’t mind a bit more customization, male and female, a handful of good looking faces and hair/facial hair options would be pretty neat.

It’s pretty bad when my eyes are assaulted by the ugly mug of my toon every time I’m at the main menu.

To me, gender choice was a cool albeit pointless improvement with d3 and beyond. If it came to d2r it wouldn’t bother me but not having it is totally fine too. Everyone is wearing a paperbag or condom anyways…

Not sure if this is a troll post like the many on Steam, but anyway: the fixed character models in Diablo I and II are a good idea because they represent specific characters within the lore, not just a generic class.

That said, the Paladin model is honestly terrible in Resurrected. He has a goofy, gorilla-like face that deviates way too much from the original. They should have used the Diablo III Crusader as inspiration. The Barbarian is also off; he looks like Batista if you ask me. The Diablo III Barbarian design remains the gold standard.

This is what happens when you outsource art direction. It was a terrible move.

The rose-tinted glasses are mighty thick on this one…

From my D4 experience there are no genders, only body types.

No need

There are much more important things to do for this game.

Yeah I meant Body types…. I used the word Gender because when I asked Chat GPT to help me post it said using phrasing like Body Types can be offensive, misleading, unclear.

where you also this negative 20 years ago back when they still added new stuff to the game all the time ?

or is that just now bc your old and bitter now ?

I disagree on this one. One thing I like about Diablo 2 is that you are playing a unique hero, that happens to be a man or a woman. I really dislike that they let you pick a gender in modern games.

This idea of like going to a shop and picking a random guy or a girl with the face you want to save the world… nah. I want a unique legendary hero.
