Hi,
I want to play this together with my kids, but I fear that the skills choices and what not are too final. If they make some wrong choices they will be handicapped.
Can there not be some way to re-spec more often and more easily?
We will only be playing together, which of course is only possible online (by your design).
Perhaps there is some smart way to include it that would avoid abuse, if that is the concern.
Thanks
D2R actually already has a few built-in ways to re-spec without needing mods or cheats! First off, Akara (the first NPC in Act 1) gives every character one free re-spec per difficulty level after you complete her very first quest (Den of Evil). Since there are 3 difficulties (Normal, Nightmare, Hell), that’s 3 guaranteed full skill/stat resets per character.
For playing casually with kids through Normal and Nightmare, those 3 free resets are usually more than enough to fix any early mistakes once they figure out what playstyle they like.

thanks, yes I know about that. I still don’t see why it couldn’t be ever easier and more numerous than that.
And what if it gets used very early on, say a child wants to try the different elemental styles, then you’d have to go up a difficulty just for that. It feels a bit contrived.
