what part of lower kurast is the mission or goal? just clearing the area since it’s small? i played this game a lot and never really messed with the area but the more forums i read it seems like it was hugely popular right under my nose.

Not worth the time in online multiplayer. You set /players8 and farm the super chest in houses around a specific camp fire in single player for HRs.

It’s best for singleplayer as others have said. The goal is to get a map with 2 campfires, ie double the super chests. On /players8, MrLlamaSC says it takes on average 30 hours to farm a ber.

So Lower Kurast is one of the best sources of high runes, but only in single player where you can control the maps and always have /players 8. You re-roll your Kurast map until you have two camps next to each other, then you bore yourself to tears farming the camp chests until you can finally make a single player high runeword.
Lower Kurast online is not worth it, the random map will waste too much of your time.
