Does anyone farm many times at the same place in a day?
they say you will be banned if you farm too much in the same place
what will happen if someone is banned, I have no idea cause I can’t go farming 100 pits in a day or anywhere.
or someone farms the keys, how many times a day do you do?
I farmed travincal for 7 hours (with your usual breaks for food etc) and did several hours of pindleskin and not banned yet.
Also did an unhealthy amount of pit runs before my 2 sons were born☺️
I dont understand, how people can farm the same place for hours.
I do target couple of bosses & clear some areas on different acts & then new game again.
Doing the same over & over & over for hours drives me crazy.
I can do maybe like 10 runs targeting 1 boss only, but thats it.
I have never heard nor seen, that you can get banned for it, it must have been a bot detection.
There are plenty of videos on youtube on this topic. I’ve watched videos where people got banned running Travincal because Blizz thought they were bots. They had to appeal the ban.
In my case my autism might have something to do with it. I rarely get bored when i do stuff i enjoy, i can kind of keep on going until something makes me stop. It is not as bad as when i was younger, could stay awake for days sometimes without eating and just drinking water and play d2 on LANs
Well I admire you that you can do the same thing over and over.
I don’t get how people can do that. I run a full farm sweep per game starting with the Countess, Andariel, Trav, Stepps, Pindle, Baal and Cows. Takes me about 30 minutes. I’m good for maybe two or three runs a day and I am toast.
I can’t imagine farming one mob all day long.
you will get banned if you do like… 600+ trav runs with similar clicking patterns. so if you’re doing the EXACT SAME THING for a very long period of time.
there was a man who got banned twice ! not once, TWICE for trav running too hard, both times got his account back… soo… as long as you’re not hacking your appeal will be good enough if you do get banned doing too many of the same run.
thx all you guys I’ve got the idea. so I think it is just for a super hardcore player.
maybe it’s easier to do something similar in a row but I can’t do more than a few runs
trav, countress, chaos. the easy places to go
Very hardcore and efficient players were flagged for bot like behavior. They weren’t botting, just spamming runs to get the best results. Most people have nothing to worry about.
i think you fail to realize how autistic some D2 players can be .
you think that people who get full builds done in 2-3 weeks and complain that the game is too easy are healthy, well adjusted people? 
they are also the kind of people that (if given the opportunity) would gamble away their house and savings, because farming bosses for endgame loot is just another form of playing the slot machines.
but instead of putting in quarters, praying for a jackpot, they put in time hoping that BERs will drop

I guess you can get addicted & yes, they do have heavy gear, while I am still using Duriels armor & running & doing baal runs on hell.
I still havent found Jah & Ber to make enigma & I wont find it either this season.
I have autism i play a lot of D2 or used to at least. I haven’t set foot in a casino or casino website 
You sound bitter that you play in an inferior way and don’t get the stuff you want. You could easily get enigma within a week while playing 1-2 hours a day.
this IS my gambling, because my brain thinks wasting money on “real” gambling is dumb AF. … lol
During Corona I used to farm like 3-5 hours per day. So much fun. Now I just got all my singleplayer characters decked. Still need some BiS and some more fun characters. So I regulary just do 15/30 minute session with one of my MF-ers. Might play ladder sometime again, but singleplayers is where I am at.
Question is …
why bother farming? between bots, d2stores, jsp … there is so much overwhelming inventory out there that nothing has any value anymore … so again …

The point he is making is this game and it’s fans are addicts that gamble, whether or not you’ve gone to casinos IRL is irrelevant.
And it’s the truth too, whether people want to admit it or not. It’s not about who’s bitter or jaded or whatever you want to imply or outright accuse. The people in this fandom are addicted to playing slots and hoping for that ONE specific piece of gear. Some players have never even SEEN a certain item or rune for YEARS. Decades even. If that is not gambling (with your time) and pulling the lever to see what slots you get (equipment), then I don’t know what is. Because this game, and don’t get me wrong I like D2, is just straight up a glorified slot machine.
Thinking otherwise is just a coping mechanism.
I never target farm specific bosses. I go for power and clear speed over MF then I do a rotation, there are places in all acts that I visit in every rotation. That way I don’t get bored, just doing the same boss over and over would drive me insane within an hour.
I hate gambling so I don’t know what you’re on about. I play because it’s relaxing and I enjoy killing stuff.
