Hi!
Since the latest patch i am unable to play my offline d2r characters. “failed to joon game”, even with newly created chars. I found out that the problem has to be the sharedstash save file, if i delete/remove it from windows" => users => saved games =>d2r i am able To Play the chars again, but i lose quite a bit of my games progress as all my highrunes are on savedstash… Can this somehow be fixed?

I have the same problem. I am not software savvy enough to fihure out how to fix it and blizzard’s tech support is rediculous.
Battlenet and D2R loads up properly until I select a character. When i select the character to play it starts to load but I get a “failed to join game” screen and it returns to character select screen. I re- installed the game and get the same.
This support is not helping. After re-installing the game I would think that any in game problem would help. How can i talk to a human being? How do I get a ticket.
Upon further troubleshooting i can play on line but cannot play off line. This is a big deall to me because i am on satellte internet and it is too laggy to play on line most times. I tried creating new characters off line but get the same problem.
Would be nice to have human support. I have been playing diablo II since it came out and is my go to game. When I hit the continue button on this screen it doesn’t even list a D2R problem solving selection.
I have re- installed both D2R and battllenet and deleted all logs.
How does one contact a human being for support?

I’ve dealt with such situation before…
Single player “failed to join”, is caused only by one of two possibilities, either you launch the game with some undesired launch parameters, in that case try to eliminate one by one to check which one it is…
or…
Your shared stash save file got corrupted, and is preventing from startig the game for all of your characters…
in that case go to:
c:\users\ your windows account name \saved games\Diablo II Resurrected\
and locate a file that is called something like SoftCoreSharedStash.d2i HardCoreSharedStash.d2i or something like that and cut those from your folder and paste them elsewhere ( be sure to note where ).
Launch the game… this should unlock most of your characters. although i suspect that one character will stil be unable to play, it won’t block others but you won’t be able to play that one… it’s corupted and most likely nuffin could be done about it. shard stash will be gone, however you can now play. you may try to use D2R savegame editors to try to fix your shared stash file, although that’s next to cheating.
