I get an error that fails to initialize graphics device. I have cleaned my computer clean and reinstalled graphics, disabled through bios and device manager any integrated graphics and have put everything to admin and compatibility.

lol exact same error log here except 980 instead of 960, this is utterly disappointing
I have the same problem also. I’m running the EVGA 1080Ti and Ryzen 5 2600X with windows 10. And all my drivers are up to date. When I launch the game I get the error.
‘Failed to initialize graphics device. Please ensure your PC meets the minimum system requirements and your drivers are up to date.’

Exactly same problem with gtx 970, except that I am under windows 8.1 pro, I try to put windows 10 but installation failure here it is blocked, I can do nothing:

idk still running tests
but no more crash’s for 45 mins
been in 4 games
only thing i did was go into settings and checked the box for
dynamic resolution scaling
maybe that fixed it
will post back her in a little

whatever device that is using the Microsoft standard driver. Update the driver for it.
That’s only the issue for very select few people. Most reading this thread will have already caught on and tried to address that… myself included. There’s obviously something on Blizzard’s end here causing issues, but there’s been 0 communication regarding it. I’ve tried every ‘fix’ post for this I’ve seen and nothing works. This release has been nothing but a massive disappointment, and the lack of communication other than saying “your PC must suck, request a refund” is pretty damning.

how would one determine "whatever device is using MS standard driver?
Same issue. My motherboard doesn’t have an integrated graphics card but there’s a failure to initialize graphics device…
Every other Blizzard game has no issue.

device manager it would be listed under video… You can try to update the driver though windows update if you are not sure what the video device is or run the pci id though google and it should tell you card manufacture and card name.
Just solved this on a 970. Don’t run the game from the Blizzard launcher, go into the install directory and run the .exe. Worked fine.
