I tried a bunch of things and I got something that worked for me. Go to your saved games folder and find your d2 resurrected folder there. Whichever char is locked out move the MA0 file out of the folder and it should hopefully work
I dont see where this is at, nothing in my install dir or my documents
it would be in C:/users/name/saved games/d2 resurrected. You can just search “Saved Games” on bottom bar

I even tried to create a new one and got the “black screen” when trying to sign into the new character… eventually had to crash the app/bnet. The new character was named test-char and I have since removed that character as it was not working.

Locked out of server after trying to identify one item with Cain, everything froze and now, I can’t connect with any of my characters
Just happened to me, glad to see its been days and theres no fix thanks blizzard 
This exact thing has happened to me. I was identifying and item and it was just hanging there for a good 3 min saying something about “processing transaction”. Then I decided to close the window of the game. Boy was that a mistake.
8:00 P.M PST; and have been locked out for 2+ hours. Americas regions.
Just got hit with the exact same thing in Americas region. Really sucks.
