Since the beginning of season 9 logging to this game has been a real pain in the jeans.
Waiting for queues, requeues, disconnects, errors!!
And since yesterday I can’t login to my game at all! I get the Failed to authenticate. Please try again later. This happens on XBOX.
I bought this game for PC, Switch and XBOX and always seem to have some issues!
I tried everything I found on the internet - relinked my accounts, reset my console - this stupid error remains!
Please fix this Blizzard!!

Same issue, seems to mostly affect Europe server, many people seem to have this issue.
Same problem. Login on Eu servers hardly ever works the first time. I haven’t found a valid solution yet except to spam the “online” button until it eventually works. Also very strange, no matter when I log in, I am supposedly always in a queue with position 1.

I know Blizzard dont care about the greatest game they ever made anymore but could please at leat fix the eu servers? trying to login for 5 minutes straight cant be the solution. its on pc and on ps5

Yeah, it seems there was a guy who came here and merged the topics, but didn’t care to answer or show any empathy at all.
Last time they jinxed the servers it took them 48h to answer. And the answer came in X, since a lot of people started tagging and spamming.

Here’s the text that I’ve used to describe the problem:
There’s a problem with authentication on Europe server.
There are 2 kinds of errors that keep happening when launching diablo 2 resurrected on Europe:

Failed to authenticate. Please try again.

Cannot Connect to Server
(capitalization and punctuation preserved)
After a couple restarts of the game i can log in, but often it takes like 5 attempts
I am located in <CITY, Country>. There are no such errors when I log in on Americas or Asia servers - they log in successfully every time.
I am not the only one with this issue. Please check on the official forum in the General Discussion - there’s a topic with more people complaining.
Dear blizzard. Please fix this.
Also attach screenshots of the error if you can.

Restarting battle.net four times worked for me today. But its getting worse from week to week.
As expected, the usual “restart computer, check with ISP blah blah” garbage.
Re-opened the ticket and re-iterated my own blah. 
Let’s see how inept the next response is.

OMG, logging in to bnet and D2R is really really annoying. Thanks Blizz, just broke my mouse. EU servers… PLEASE FIX! 
It’s getting worse. I needed 20 attempts today for logging in. This is not fun.
This is normal support experience. I got it too. They have to do it to filter out actual low effort requests that would go nowhere, and these solutions would actually help someone.
Politely reply to that support ticket saying that the solutions don’t apply and describe your situation again.
We need to work at bringing attention to this issue, because forum posts don’t seem to be working
that’s what I did.
Let’s see how they react this time.

… And then they marked my ticket as solved xD
That’s an elaborate way of saying “The problem isn’t on our end, we have no control over fixing the problem you’re experiencing.”

Yeah, of course, it’s all our internet providers AT ONCE…
…but it’s not that ONE game we experience problems with.
All my other games run fine.
