Im lvl 30 and so far the only javs I see are the white quality ones you can buy from Charsi
Are there any javs that drop that are like, unlimited? Or do I just keep buying these low quality javs?
And I noticed if I don’t pay attention and I run out they disappear. If I get like a unique Jav drop would it run out and disappear if I kept using it and accidentally went past 60 shots?
You can roll a replenish modifier on magic / rare ones and as for Unique ones Titan’s Revenge also has that mod. They will slowly gain additional charges overtime.
Repair when you need to it also replenishes the quantity unless its ethereal.
For the unique one no it doesn’t just disappear when it hits 0 charges I don’t know for certain on the magic / rare ones that may just be something for white ones.
Yeah basically this. Javazons have it much harder too compared to other classes that have an “ammo” type thing for their build. They have to go to town to repair MUCH more frequently, especially in the beginning until you get titan’s revenge (I think that’s the unique amazon jav with replenish modifier). I know bowazons have it a lot easier with their bows/xbows using only arrows/bolts and their ammo drops from monsters you kill so you never really have to go back to town to get more of them. Throwbarbs also have it easier since they have replenish quantity modifier on their throw weapons and much much higher stack count than javs (but when starting as a throwbarb, they will have a hard time 'cause they won’t have that replenish modifier earlier on).
I actually ended up going Freezing Arrow because a random person gave me a nice unique bow so I respecced
It’s fun in nightmare for sure. Not sure how it’ll hold up in Hell
I might stay freezing arrow until I get a Titans or something like that. Not sure I change my mind a lot. But not having to deal with Javelin repairs is definitely really nice lol
You can also play hybrid. Running pure Javazone / Frostmaiden is obviously stronger, but with an hybrid build you are more flexible against immunes, and only need your merc’s physical damage for dual immunes.
And LF / FA have alot in common, both profit heavily from pierce, both profit not only from MAEK / LAEK but also ml / ll.
Right now my main character is a lvl86 Amazon. I put 20 pts on Lfury and CStrike, FArrow and CArrow. I have a pretty basic Titans and on switch I have a +3bow/+20IAS bow. My Merc has Obedience in an eth CA. She’s drinking mana potion like there is no tomorrow when using the bow, but I only use it for lit/phys immunes. For normal lit immunes even the Titans’ damage is enough, plus the Merc’s damage - when the Enchant procs - is above 5k. I can quite easily do WSK and Chaos runs, also Cows are not an issue. And my gear is honestly nothing too crazy.
Chug all of the pots! or could always just make your merc an insight polearm would solve all your mana issues.
I’m playing full javazon but mostly endgame gear so mana is about my only struggle just gotta keep using pots unless I decide to make a phoenix shield.
This, insight is totally doable even solofound and helps alot. Lore with +2 MAEK also helps a little bit. If trading is available lycanders has ml and is available for a few PGs.
Running mine with a mix of Insight MAEK and ml, and only need a pot when spamming FA at an single target lightning immune /physical immune.
This build is not “written in stone”. As I played many “typical” builds back in the day, I try builds that are not as common as some guides suggest, also I try to make every single build viable of killing ALL types of monsters because I dont like the idea of “just skip” some immunes.
So, keep in mind that with this build you loose the +skills on one of the switch if you use +jav or +bow skills instead of +all skills. The other alternative could be the poison path, because you can put your 41 pts from cold to poison (due to prerequisities you will actually have 2 extra points to spend elsewhere). Thats what I will try with hero editor, although I pretty much like the frozen mobs, even if on hell the freeze time is about 0.1 second ).
Someone gifted me a Buriza-Do Kyanon, so I’ve been testing it out. My merc has insight and I barely have mana issues now with this weapon because it does more damage and fires slower.
Not sure if I’m in love with it or not but I noticed quickly that my mana bar stayed full except for boss fights or tough mobs
It works for now. Probably better in a physical build tho I would assume
That’s my build as well LF zon maxed CS & LB as primary. Secondary is Burizon and I hit second last breakpoint for IAS (80 on buri + shael, 20 on andys and 20 ias gloves give me 140 ias total).
I still run into physical and Light immune uniques/super-uniq in Chaos Hell, so my merc runs reapers to break immunity.
Works pretty well. Mana is still a slight issue, pots now and then but not too frequent so monster pot drops can cover without neeind to go back to town.
Manage to build a fortitude armor as well and helps with physical damage too, but I’ve since moved it to my WW barb. So another in the list to improve if you need more physical boost. It’ll help in Jav mode as well since it ups your physical damage which adds to more leech
There is a class specific type of Javelin called the, Maiden/Ceremonial/Matriarch Javelin. They have an inherent +1-3 Javelin Skills on them, even white ones can be +3. These come default as ‘Very Fast Attack’ weapons and their default stack size is 80. There are mods that go on any Javelin, ‘Increased Stack Size’ and ‘Replenishes Quantity’ that are desirable because they reduce the returns to town to replenish the javelins to max stack. Also, another desirable mod is IAS 20%. The Matriarch has pretty high Str and Dex requirements. IMHO, it isn’t worth using the Matriarch unless you’re respec’ing late game (post-lvl 80).
Titan’s Revenge is the Unique Ceremonial Javelin and it is probably your BIS item for the entire game (Str 25, Dex 109 required) and you can upgrade it to Matriarch, but like I said above, it isn’t worth it until very late game due to the high stat requirements that will rob you of Vit, unless you have the supporting gear, of course. Titan’s Revenge has all of the desirable stats you want and need; +2 Amazon skills, +2 Javelin Skills, Increased Stack Size (like, 140+?), replenishes (1/3s), FRW, etc. I know you can farm it up at NM Meph, because I’ve gotten at least two from there in D2R.
Javelins can be used for both throwing and melee. Apparently, if you use melee long enough, the durability will drop to zero and then one jav comes off the stack, but I’ve never noticed it myself. However, throwing javs for Lightning Fury or the poison skills will deplete your javs one per throw. You’ll need to ‘restock’ every so often at the nearest town’s vendor/blacksmith unless you have a replenishing mod that can keep up with your throwing. Before you go into any boss fight or go a long time between sectors, be sure you’re max’d out on javelins.
