every 5-30 minutes I get “connection interrupted” and get kicked to the lobby, I then cannot join that game or any other game for around two minutes as it says I’m still “in a game on the server” Then I can rejoin / join a new game, and anywhere from another five minutes, to thirty minutes of gameplay later, it repeats. It was doing this in beta and I reported it and got no word. I sent in a ticket a few days ago to no response.
better than most… I for instance have been “in a game on the server” for 4 hours now.
That sucks, but as I said, it’s been the entirety of the beta and release.

on the first day i played normally after the rollback, from friday until the exact time, my game just doesn’t connect with the server, everytime i check my internet everything is normal except D2R.
Endeavor,
Issues like this are usually connectivity related. I’d power cycle your connection and if you’re on wifi swap to ethernet and see if things improve.
If you’re still having this problem after that, please create a WinMTR test which catches a disconnection. You want to restart the test every 10-15 minutes until you catch one of these problems. Once you’ve caught one red handed, run the test for about 5 more minutes. This will let us look for problems between your house and our servers which may cause this.
If you have problems with posting it due to a link error, go ahead and copy paste this into your next post, and replace “WinMTR goes here” with your test.

just got this error code in a crash also.
I will do these things and get back.
Already hardwired.
California should probably sue Activision Blizzard again for gross negligence in releasing a product that is so clearly not ready and charging people $40+ for it. The game is unplayable. Give us our money back, please!

WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider
Can you guys look at this? This is not an isolated issue it keeps happening to me I live on the East coast and i am tired of this crap… Been playing all games not just from blizzard but from other companies and no issues, POE, WoW, ffxiv, etc, no issues but D2R gets getting this same error. I lost all my gear yesterday because this happened to me while running back to my corpse… And been sending images all day to CS and they just fkn ignore this issue.
yeah dude I agree, I play starcraft 2 and warzone on PC so I dont understand how it could be my service provider.
Same here. everything was ok yesterday. Now keeps on getting disconnected every 5-10 min
This is insane. I cannot believe Blizz released the game in this state, and is offering no support on the issues we are facing. Really sad, and honestly maybe the last straw for me, especially after the accounts of employee abuse.
I couldn’t bare dealing with the interruptions anymore, so I requested a refund. Before even explaining to me what that would look like a GM messaged me back, removed it from my account and told me it would take a week to receive the refund. Somehow I was in game playing, and it just kicked me out. 3 hours after the GM rushed the refund me without explaining anything. Good job (not).
all of this - I posted my WinMT text in a separate post, but this is ridiculous. I WANT to play this game, but haven’t been able to play online for more than 3 minutes or so at any point. I BARELY had enough time to clear the first quest (and that was after MANY attempts).
can you please respond
And please answer our tickets!!!
Yeah, this is insane, absolutely no issues with ANY OTHER GAME or service (video streaming, etc) but I am constantly getting disconnected from this crap game. My connection is rock solid. @Drakuloth this game has a problem, blaming others for the rampant issues is ridiculous.
I sent the file report you asked for I hope correctly
How are you making this suggestion, and not giving us IP addresses or hostnames to use? The article doesn’t have them for D2R either.
Endeavor,
Looking at your winMTR it actually does look like there’s packet loss coming out of your modem or router on the way out to the ISP itself. This is what I was expecting from your specific report, so thanks for providing that test.
If you check the % column you’ll see that there’s 1% packet loss, and you’re actually losing more packets than the test suggests since about 9 of them don’t even make it to the next node. We can tell this is legitimate loss due to the fact that it goes the entire way down the connection. Usually when I see this it means there’s a problem with the router or the hub used for your apartment/neighborhood/etc.
I’d contact the ISP, see if there’s any troubleshooting they can do with you, rerun the test, and if it looks the same, have them swap you for a new modem/router. Hopefully that fixes it but if even a new device fails you can just reply back with a new WinMTR here and I’ll see if I can find anything else.
For the rest of you,
Connectivity issues have a wide number of causes. I cannot help all of you in one thread, and there are no known issues causing this at this time. The majority of players who are online are able to stay online right now. Keep in mind that people who are not having problems don’t tend to post on forums.
If you need help and are not the OP, you need to either post your own thread or contact support for more help with your individual problem. We want to help everybody enjoy the game, it’s just not feasible to do so with multiple different problems in one thread.
With all due respect Drakuloth, that WinMTR capture doesn’t tell us anything. First of all, it’s almost certainly not even to the right IP (since you didn’t provide one to use). Second, there isn’t really 100% packet loss or else you couldn’t even connect to a game. It’s likely just hops on the route blocking pings or something similar. I always see 100% packet loss there even when I’m actively connected and playing the game without issue.
I bet if you download WinMTR and put useast[dot]battle[.]net in you are going to see the same thing. It’s the same as running tracert/traceroute in Command Prompt/Terminal.
If you really are suggesting that some minor packet loss should cause server disconnection, the netcode just isn’t good enough in that case.
