I got an eth thresher but I was told the socted quest will give it 5. I need 4 so I can make this awesome thresher I found into an infinite. How do I give it just 4?
You need to gamble it. Just add the eth thresher, ral, amn, and pamethyst in the cube and transmute them. It does not work on superior items though. I wish you luck getting 4 sockets.

lol yeah have fun throwing that rare hard to find eth thresher out when it rolls 3 sockets or something. Hopefully, your feeling lucky.

Is it 16% chance to get 1, 2 , 3 or 4 sockets and 32% chance to get 5 sockets?

this is correct! although technically its 16.7 so its more of a 33.3 % chance to get 5 sec
but yeah
