Unfortunately, it really isn’t that good. The base item is fairly slow. I guess you could throw 4 40/15ias jewels and a Zod rune in it. That would be a very expensive option and probably would still not be as good as some of the other options.
there is no way in the current game to make a runemaster competitive if they ever buff jewels in the future it could be possible.

Useful? Yes. But really only to the top 1% of the wealthiest D2 players. And even then, only if they have the inclination to mess around with an eth 5os Runemaster. And most of them don’t have the inclination. The juice simply ain’t worth the squeeze, so to speak. Certainly a very swaggy weapon tho, I’d be envious of anyone who had a GG one with Zod+whatever else socketed
