I FIGURED IT OUT!
It occurs when you click on the doorway and go back and forth through the same doorway!
Like level 1 → Level 2 → Level 1
Stop button mashing on the doorways you spazzes! 
Edit:
I have replicated this twice in a row. My guess is that any doorway you jump in and out of will cause a crash.
Most likely has something to do with the change they made to load levels faster.
