"Emergency maintenance"... Deployment fail round 2? ☹

All that means is they have had 20 years more to plan for this and 20 years of development tool improvements. This kind of thing is not acceptable. It smells of incompetence.

I just found a JAH rune in the pit before patch, logged in and it was still there. then they had emergency maintenance…I hope its still there lol

I loved Windows Millennium Edition, it was perfect for ME. It wasn’t terrible at all!

Could you imagine if they actually put an update through that didn’t cause major issues? It’s getting more than ridiculous at this point.

if that happend on the first try i would be shocked as hell.

Most games would call this a Beta and it would be free…

haha but even free is not free true or not can’t even take a sh,t for free anymore cause ya we have to pay for water lol.

I should be able to expect better 20 years later.

because all companies keep antiquated code in their active development pipeline just incase…

Lol, welcome to being a Millenial/Gen X or younger, you can expect all you want, won’t change the reality of our situation. Things won’t be getting better in our lifetime.

I chose my words carefully. I do not expect more, but I should be able to. A company should not coast by with the same level, perhaps worse, of production and execution for twenty years. Consumers should demand better.

I choose my words carefully as well. Your chosen words (either way) make no difference to the point I made.

Your complacency has given you in to acceptance of a poor situation and a belief that we are incapable of effecting any sort of change in our entire lifetimes?

Okay Debbie. That attitude is precisely what causes that perpetuated sham.

Aww, I remember being so naive too, it’s a difficult time in one’s life.

no this is database migration scripts, this isn’t anything to do with legacy code, this is because they are not really qualified enough, if they were they would never have rolled out the sructure they did in the first place. It was abysmal. So I thought that they would pull in someone (possibly from blizz) with expirence who can get them back on track. Sadly, it looks like that didn’t happen. This is rookie stuff given the pedegree of the project they were given.

Cut them some slack man. It’s only a $70 billion company.

well, the PUBLISHER is, the dev company isn’t. They are a small studio, still this is the publisher’s job to resource the studio when the poop hits the fan like this to get them back on track. (at least a good publisher)

Currently, no delays planned for 2.4 and ladder it seems.
