Imagine that, the world’s richest man is sitting there playing Diablo, almost exactly like us!
Popped up on his social page which now runs the world.
Bet he wasn’t HC.

Good for him.
All work and no play makes Elon a dull boy.
doughboy*
He is clueless about cars, clueless about FSD, clueless about video games too, yikes…GL to Tesla shareholders…
Perhaps… But with how much he’s rolling in with SpaceX/Starlink, who cares? Probably why he bought out Twitter, just because he can afford to burn money. I doubt he’ll go public with SpaceX, he doesn’t want to give up control.
A landable and reusable booster rocket… Yeah NASA wouldn’t have done that for at least another 20 years if ever, because they want to suck the government tax dollar teats as long and as hard as they can.
I won’t buy an EV anyways until they start putting better longer lasting batteries in them. I don’t feel like dropping 5 to 20 grand every 10 years to replace a car battery due to the natural degradation of lithium ion battery packs. I don’t want to have to spend ~2 hours recharging my car every 300 miles if I decide to take a long trip. Plus I don’t feel like dying in a spontaneous car fire.
Perhaps these beta voltaic batteries I’ve been hearing about will have some future as car batteries… Turn your car off, it starts recharging itself. FREAKIN NUCLEAR CARS! :o
Eh, I’ll bet they could step it up a notch (or several) by using an element with a lower half life. Making sure it’s safe shouldn’t be a problem, as beta radiation can be blocked by a sheet of paper (or the anode portion of the cell). The biggest problem is getting the general public to accept it, as there are still people alive today that witnessed the horror of the atomic bomb usage at the end of WWII, and following that the decades long proliferation of nuclear weapons and testing during the cold war.
thing is there’s really very little elements in general that have beta decay the most common is trithium with cicra ~12 or so years of half decay
most radioactive elements decay with gamma radiation (neutron emitters).
it is gamm radiation that generally have short half decay period. and this is to be avoided, as You’ve said Beta particles are esentially electrostatic in nature as it’s electron emmiting at least that’s what current science tells us… it is indeed stopped by tinfoil hats or 3mm of plastic. however sheet of paper stops only alfa radiation ( which is esentially UV-A radiation).
Beta emmiters are harmless trigalight company sells tiny keychains with little rods that emmit light in complete darkness ( guaranteed light for 10 years)
i have a couple of 'em in my pocket rn.
Some of those career politicians (goes both for Members of Parliament and Commissioners) seem to be thoroughly immune to facts and figures.
Ecodesign, Energy and topics like that are oftentimes governed by folks who seem to have had various lobotomies in some cases.
Yes, I speak from personal experience.
For the record: I’m abig fan of European integration. Each of the 27 members states is far too puny and insignificant to play a strong role in the modern world. (Also goes for ex-member GREAT Britain, lol)
The implementation otoh is just mindboglingly stupid.
you doubt it?
Oh that’s why you glow pink in darkness!
(Kidding, obviously)
If they are serious about pushing EV’s, they need to make them wirelessly charge through the road, and also upgrade the highway systems to have at least one powered lane.
Making the car able to charge wirelessly isn’t the problem. Ripping up the highway system to bury a bunch of copper coils, that’s a huge expensive problem.
well i have my own tinfoil hat theory on how matter is constructted, it’s burried knee deep in even more tinfoil theories…
it’s rather green
trithium is sealed in a glass tube covered with phosphorus from the inside. electrons hit phosphorus and excite it into glowing… everything is covered by a 5mm transparent plastic. there are various colors sold although green ones ( yelow transparent plastic) and clear plastic ones shine the brightest. You could literally be capable of reading a map with theese in complete darkness if you have at least slight deuteranomaly like i do.
there’s literally not enaugh copper world wide to do this in every country,
and if you’d start doing this copper prices woudl skyrocket even more…
Powered uphill grades would be a good start. Regenerative braking covers downhill grades. Especially important if they’re wanting EV freight trucks.
my tinfoil sources claim EU want s to go the other way… ban ppl from traveling farther than 800 km from their home by car, and flights per person alowed ony twice a year no further than 1600km from the place of living, in all EU teritory, ofcourse there are exclusions to this for someone owing Private aircrafts and ppl having the money to pay CO2 tax for riding allowed exclusive luxury gasoline cars,
So in general they want common ppl stuck in city buses and trams to have free roads to travel by fast cars for the rich…
Wasn’t talking about the keychains, but you personally. But it was a joke anyway.
That’s a pretty tinfoily theory indeed.
But I guess we’ll find out one way or another.
Yeah I knew, You did wrote it’s a joke initially… just wanted to clear it up, as the keychains do come in pink as well though the light is dimm + my partial deuteranomally prevents from seeing this kind of light well…
even the site selling those claims that pure phosphorus ones shine the brightest, and phosphor ilumination is green in nature
It was to ensure a place people can still speak about things without being censored or buried by collusion with big tech. I mean, not even speech… people haven’t been allowed to even question things. When we can’t even ask a question, things get dark pretty quickly.
Anyways, the EV thing is just another money grab. They can absolutely build in ways to charge the vehicle, but then you aren’t turning profit. You have to even sit for an extended period of time just to charge, and pay almost the same as fuel. I much prefer my diesel that can drive through 650-700 miles straight, and fill up in a couple minutes. We’ve already seen Germany resort to burning coal and fossil fuels because they didn’t have the infrastructure for electric. How’s that for green? It feels good to say things, but there’s always so much more than what’s on the surface. You can apply that to almost anything, people just don’t think things through enough.
Maybe if he would have had his son play more Diablo, starting with 2, it would have saved him from the woke disease! Or was that mad cow disease?
Too brutally honest? Well Elon is all about freedom of speech too. Eat it.
True, but he’s playing d4 vs D2 so his taste isn’t that great
