Economy ruined by botters/dupers just 2 days in

Dizzy,

First: Make sure you have proper antivirus installed and running.
Second: Make sure your A/V software has some browser protection component active.

The above is to ensure that you aren’t the victim of a browser hijaak.

Here is a pic of the spam in the lobby:

You can find the web address in the pic.

It can, but chooses not to. Botters pay for multiple game licenses.

But… But… that isn’t a link to a trade post with 100s of runes alone by themselves. Nor do you know the quantity those sites have.

But if you look at the site you too will see, it looks like they have generally botted gear which sounds about right, but that has nothing to do with a dupe method.

You’re an idiot. Go onto jsp and find the guy with over 4m fg. He’s got a topic with over 100 bers in stock and see the rate at which his fg is going up, he’s clearly selling them.

Give me a name baby girl. I’ll look it up right now. You can’t cuz it doesn’t exist.

And here I am losing items from stash, and getting dc while looting Jah…

This here. D2jsp made it so noobs actually have a fighting chance. Also i played old D2. The hours i wasted spamming items to trade was terrible.

Literally nobody is suggesting trading a Jah or a Ber for pgems.

Huh? That is my point fool. No one would do it. But with d2jsp, you can sell all the pgems in the world for FG and then use that to buy all the gear you want. Hence, a trillion times better system that EMPOWERS poor traders versus the built in archaic system. But somehow anti-d2jspers think without d2jsp it would be a better economy because I guess with your mentality, no one should be rewarded with a ber for finding many pgems. How would trading without d2jsp be better??? Absolutely zero anti-d2jspers can answer that…probably because they never find anything worthwhile to sell to begin with since they play alone like Bravata.

There are people on d2jsp that bot.
There are people on d2jsp that use their credit card.
There are probably people on d2jsp with private dupes.

We get it.

These people would still be doing the same thing without d2jsp. The focus should be on banning bots & banning hackers, not about trying to shut down a website that has a system that is far more efficient than blizz could ever provide us.

ip banningh does not work, you can change your IP extremely easillu if u know how… even MAC addresses can be changed if u have the right equipment.

the only way to do this would be to ban thier account… then they would need to buy another. unlike thwe orginal d2… accounts are not free.

ban thier account… track thier ip and mac address to see if the ip has another account that needs to be banned

frankly… i have zero idea why blizzard does not do this.

at least for spambots

hire a guy… pay him $30 an hour to sit in lobby and ban spambots.

for every spambot they ban… they need to spend $20 on a new account.

if they average more than 2 an hour… then thats profit…

i dont see the issue here

All comes down to how much return they will get… d2r probably their lowest profiting game versus d3/immortal/wow, so why add more costs for such miniscule returns, game has no mxt or any form of income after initial purchase. $30 worker = $63 K a year, person would need 1,500 people each year to replace a banned copy to cover his own wage costs, this isn’t even touching the surface with all the costs with developing system to flag the accounts, verify the flags, implement bans, responding to disputes and tracking false bans which apparently is a thing considering some people got reinstated…

Lots of costs for a $40 game that they care very little. I wish it wasn’t the case but it is reality, we are playing a niche game.

the question is that we have 4 days of reset and the game already died because of the massive bots there are 20000 post created by people complaining about this and blizzard once again does not listen to your community or do absolutely nothing, I hope and wish that you fail with d4 for letting the best game in history die that is d2.

The false flag bans were part of this trash dev’s team 10 seconds worth of decision making to setup AI to auto-ban accounts. Funny because they probably only caught legit users with it.

But they certainly could improve the criteria for banning them, they simply enjoy the revenue that botters bring in. If they got too good at banning them they wouldn’t buy new accounts, so they make sure they make good profit before they drop a ban hammer.

Yep classic blizz… Still, would love to be a fly on the wall during their boardroom meetings… d2r probably gets trashed on by everyone.

I actually don’t think it gets any thought to be really honest. The ban wave mentality is proven across all Acti games. The false flags were a test for a simple/less brain power way of starting to collect more names for ban waves without having to do warden coding. Everything they do involves the least effort or the worst thought process. They messed up trap change TWICE because they didn’t understand how it worked. They made TZ which in a general game sense is an awful way to deal with the 99 grind no matter how fun they are sometimes. They introduced sunder charms instead of a balance patch to fix bad abilities and make them better. And they “fixed” the pvp mechanics that actually created a skill gap in PvP. They’re consistently bad at understanding or changing the game.

But they get to justify their existence by one tried and true method. Ban cheaters after they make money, introduce sale, reset ladder with some weak LAME AF patch, pretend like all the new accounts that are purchase are because of the LAME AF patch and not just botters rebuying their accounts again because they know they’re going to make money.

I agree with you but guess I’m not as bummed out with all the screw ups. It was all expected and all obviously a result of very little development money being poured into d2r. I’m still in the positive overall with d2r, still having fun and still need to pinch myself once in a while that blizz even bothered to do this just to rile up such a small fanbase. Otherwise i would be restarting on classic d2 for the millionth time or groan while playing d3/poe 🫠

I love the game as it was on launch. Not having funding doesn’t mean we need rushed or trash crap additions and changes. Revert to launch status, give us the QoL upddate we all want. Get rid of the XP loss after lvl 95 (b/c TZ will be gone). Then slowly work on balancing and modifying weak abilities and bad classes to be better. Oh and while you’re at it let us actually PTR it and let players who actually play at a decent level have imput on changes. Don’t just listen to the crowd of noobs who can’t get past NM. Don’t even need to rush out the balance patch, could take some time and get it right.

Welcome to HC, where the economy hasnt been ruined yet

I make no claims about duping. However, the pic is evidence of same spam that was going on in D2/LoD and vanilla D3.
