im confused with my own calculation that i have right now …
i wanna know which option is more efficient: ist’ed oculus or perfect faceted echutas, while trying to maintain same magic find.
so ist’ed oculus has 80 mf, which is almost equal to around 12 x 7mf (=84 mf) small charms.
these 12 small charms have same inventory size as 4 skillers.
this raises my question, what is stronger:
echutas or oculus with 4 skillers to remain same magicfind ?
Occy adds all resist and MF, so more survivability and MF on top of that
It comes with the chance to being randomly teleported to your death, so the resistances are quite valuable
Eschutas adds 10% more FCR so if you’re lighting trying to get 117% breakpoint it might help kinda but usually you just go for arachnids with 20% so the extra 10 on a weapon didn’t help at all
If you farm on players 1 you do not need skillers at all unless you’re going some kinda weird build like nova
Just comparing those two options, Ocu with 4 skillers is a more efficient return in terms of MF + DMG. Eschutas is actually a weak option due to it’s terrible synergy with lightning mastery. Basically, the better your overall gear is the smaller the benefit from Echutas gets, to the point it’s almost negligible. The facet offers a big boost in damage though due to the minus res, and I’d even socket that in the ocu before the Eschutas.
i’m a nova sorc, so i thought the +20 light dmg from echuta boosts aswell. also i kinda hate the random teleport from occy. my energy shield makes me survive p8 anyways. Rest of my gear is spirit, 3peace tal, griffons, 2xsoj, chancy’s and war travs
It may help but keep in mind fire and light already give a lot of % more damage so the extra 20% isn’t noticeable like it is with, say when you use a fathom for cold dmg
Depends on many factors really.
How much do mf you have (determines to effective gain).
How much bonus do you have on lightning damage.
Basically the more you have on one the lesser the return is.
And then do you need the additional FCR Eschuta’s for a breakpoint.
Easiest way is probably enter your character in this calc and switch between the two options and see for yourself, pressing the plus bottom left will allow you to create a blank or cloned version of the character you have build, clone it and change the gear you want changed and you can switch between the two to see all effects.
