I just went to a nightmare game, act 3, hostile 1 guy, more joined, and I hostiled them. I couldnt take any wp or tp to go slaughter. They all laughed at me and I was sad. Why is the concern for PK such a thing in the forums. If anything, it should be easier. You have to be a dolt or afk to not hear the PK sound.
probably because I’ve been making such a fuss about TPPK for the past 20 years.
It’s only an issue in hardcore, but it’s a REAL problem that needs to be taken care of right away… like they need to be able to resolve it before it happens.
You should be able to use wps and your own TPs after a hostile… but, your missiles/traps/hydras etc. should always disappear the moment u enter a tp or use a wp.
If they can’t use wps or tps either, it should actually be easier for legit pks.
Oh, and tps need to disappear after hostile
not the players that get hostiled, but the person who hostiles should have their TP disappear on them… It was like that in the original game.
actually wait. IIRC, after you hostile, you can’t go back into a TP in the original game either. It would still exist but all TPs are nonfunctional.
yeah I believe that’s the way it should work. you should be able to use TPs to get back into town though, after a hostile… you can’t just use them to get back to where you were.
ALL WPs SHOULD still be available regardless of hostile.

dude, i am hurting for money. Act 4 mob drops 1k gold, player drops 56k, uh hello? Ya, its ruthless but a fun/risky part of the game.

baal runs were the absolute worst… if there were TPPKs in the game. omg. the only 2 hc games available had tppks in them, i’ll never forget. The only people that were still playing HC pubs were all TPPKers.
It takes some balls to roll up on people from the wp doing baal runs… but tppking takes no skill. no risk. nothing. all it does is ruin some guys day if successful.

I just hostiled two players in act 2. A paladin and sorc. Pally tp’d and sorc teleported around like I was a fookin joke. Because Pk is a joke.
hurting for money? people hurt for money in this game? that just sounds odd to me cause i don’t think gold was ever an issue for me. it was always play till i can’t hold anymore gold and then i start leaving piles of it everywhere cause i can’t hold anymore.

yeah gl killing a sorc as a barb. I had a barb main friend back in 1.09 hc who PK’d legitimately in cow runs. Like, not in the actual cow level, but he would chase people who would take wps to look for xp shrines before the cow lvl started. he was a zerker that used eth baranar’s stars(remember this is 1.09 so the best pvp runeword is fury and an ethereal fury is very expensive cuz u can’t use it after it breaks…like every time you use it you’re essentially consuming the runes a little bit at a time(Jah Gul Eth iirc)). He went through quite a bit of eth bstars…I only noticed cuz of his mules. lol his most godly item though, was a +2barb skill ammy with teleport charges. It’s what allowed him to do what he did. I always wondered if he found or traded for the ammy first…before he started doing that.
I have a teleport ammy, but my god the repair cost is sin itself.
yeah, you have to use it with prudence. at least wait until you see their x on the map.
just tried again. the only pk i got was the dumbass pally that wanted to come out and front.

pvp is joke. not in the sense of dueling but pk’ing. to all the female sexual part who complained about pvp, serve in the chaos sanc for 1000 years. They are cowards, and a coward deserves a cowards death. PK is a joke and almost impossible.

If you want to PK just do cow runs and pull a giant pack on top of the portal, and then watch TV while people continually go in and get 1 shot lmao
Works well for important WPs also; hey man, u need the durance WP? Don’t worry I gotchu (oh no I forgot it had a fanaticsim doll pack on top of it)
blows my mind people do that.
Because PK is lame and the people that enjoy taking part of it should be checked into an institution.

PKing and instigating hostility were some of the best qualities of Diablo 2. But there were just… some people who took it too far. And it’s a real shame.
I will say that if you rely on scripts to play the game for you, your account is trash, your items are worthless, and you’re just sucking up space for the rest of us.
