Drop rate too low

Drop rate is too low. Season is dragging on for days and days. Ideally, we could each get our first enigma before bedtime on the first night after ladder reset. I believe the perfect timeline is this:

Day 1: max out first hammerdin/foh with enigma, full inv of Pcomb/life GC+torch+anni

Day 2: max out 7 other characters and fill mule account with HRs

Day 3: sell 300 HRs for 100 FG each on JSP.

Govern yourself accordingly.

Drop rates are terrible. I’ve been magic finding for like the last 3 hours and haven’t had a decent drop at all… just crap rares and useless magic items. No runes or Sets or Uniques.

Yay, another “drop rates suck” thread.

The drop rates are fine.

What is too high are your expectations.

If you want items raining down on you, Diablo 3 has you covered.

somehow i doubt that’s happening. couldn’t tell you why… lol

Hahahahahaha, thats cute. Months and Months is the norm for D2, then some of us, Years and Years… Then the OG’s, decades!

I find this topic relevant & disagree with the OP.

However, I do believe some people are doing more intensive runs, which is probably more rewardable in the lenght, but I do not believe the drop rate is too low.

seems to be everybody in the thread LOL

Oh man, I love sarcasm!

How would someone know Diablo 2 has a loot problem when they’re not picking stuff up from having a whole inventory of charms on their person?

i think your missing the obvious sarcasm in his post

I really don’t care. I was never really that good at detecting sarcasm through text. I’m pretty good at it with spoken language though. With the number of whiners that complain about drop rates, it makes it that much harder to detect text sarcasm about drop rates being low.

So, I’ll just play along.

Love this joke! It’s funny because D2 is probably the best looter ever made

Forgot to type /s in your post, some people thought you were serious, OP.

At first they had me going, too. But at the “govern yourselves accordingly” I picked it up.

We all have our Drax moments.

IRL I have more “Drax moments” than not. Also hi, been a while. Hope you’re well.

Thanks all. To clarify, I am definitely serious. I think I figured it out though: there is too much item variety. There are 385 uniques, 127 set items, and 89 runewords. There should be 5 uniques, 5 set items, and 3 runewords (only keep high runes and ith). Then collapse the drop probabilities of all the other useless items into the remaining items. For example, the average quill rat could drop:

SoJ, Tal Ammy, Ber, Ith.

Thanks for clarifying…

Still, the drop rates are fine as they are.

If you don’t agree, your loot rain awaits you in Diablo 3.

Maybe bosses should just directly drop Enigmas and Griefs. 1/16 chance?
