So the called aura stacking only works when aura come from same source, e.g gear. Dragon and hand of justice would provide 3 holy fire aura stacking because all 3 holy fire comes from gear. If your paladin also activate the skill holyfire by itself, it won’t stack with dragon and hoj.
Same thing for doom/ice with self goly freeze aura. Unfortunately it simply wont stack because the 2 aura types come from different source.
This is interesting the tester in that video thinks different. This does make sense though but feel like I need to see a test to verify. I definitely want to use my own Aura and stack other Aura’s with it to pump out as many Aura’s as I can.
I think the main issue is that holy fire has 3 pieces that can provide multiplicative damage increases to your gear. Which is why you see people abusing the holy fire more than the tesladin and the freezerdin.
Whereas if you ran Doom and your own holy freeze it’s only additive. As in you get one level 12 holy freeze and one level X holyfreeze aura stacked.
The holy fire din is running 3x level 44 holy fire auras or 3x + X level holy fire if you run it yourself. But like Macro states in the video it’s better to self run conviction aura to get the monster’s resistances down to where they are taking the full amount of damage.
It’s a weird bug but there is no way to have multiplicative holy freeze auras because no other RW gives it to you and a barbarian has no synergies with holy freeze (for dual wield doom)
