Don't worry about PVP balance

There’s nothing wrong on making some spells more more viable on PVE, if you are on that train ofc.

Regarding PVP balance, everything can be easily adjusted later, after testing;

  • Dev team could easily implement a different skill multiplier/effect when the in game entity is recognized as a Player.

Please read what I said before start spamming about how wrong I am.

Thanks for the useless post.

So many assumptions made in such a short post… I think that calls for an award.

Which is probably not going to happen, and that is what the pvp community is concerned about. Futhermore, no one wants to wait for balance to play a game. People are getting older, we don’t have time for this bullschnaz anymore. ← And this aspect of the problem is particularly annoying due to how the game was already balanced and playable in original D2 before they started tinkering with things and creating unnecessary balance changes.

Pretty sure the original devs gave virtually zero thought to PvP “balance” of any sort, and things seem to have worked out fine. It’s why the PvP community has rules and etiquette. If the current devs want to somehow consider PvP balance, that’d be cool, just not at the expense of PvM. (That is, figure out a way to accomplish both.)

Yeah like 5 people and 4/5 disagree with you in your cry thread that asks them to come here to cry with you.

Very classy & very intelligent to ignore the profoundly strong evidence that there is indeed an organized pvp scene in D2r which many people are a part of.

Look man, it’s ok that you don’t like pvp, don’t care about it, wish it weren’t in the game so you couldn’t be attacked while PvMing or w/e the reason is why you blindly hate it so much, but just say that. You don’t need to play ignorant and act like evidence provided that people are pvping, isn’t real.

That’s just ridiculous in all measures and can’t be taken seriously. Why don’t you tell us the real reason why you and so many others are so upset about any & all suggestions from the pvp community to save the game mode they want to play, even though their suggestions don’t effect pvm at all? Can you even do it? Do you even know why? Or is it just a forum habit to attack things that you don’t understand while ignoring factual evidence against your point of view so you can convince yourself that you’ve won an argument? Do you know yourself well enough to explain it?

Remember 1.09 PvP? Zero balance. Still we had fun, and at least on EU we came up with our own set of rules (DL, AoW) to counter the imbalance. No idea if this was the case on US servers too.

Yup it was the same on American servers, only Sorc, Bowa, and sometimes Necros were viable back then.

But that’s no excuse to actually DESTROY balance that had been achieved for nearly 20 years straight after that era had passed.

They could.

Or they could act like the d3 devs and ignore everything pvp related.

I’m hopeful they will. I wish a couple of the hard ore pvpers could get an hour to talk to them. That would resolve 99% of the concerns of pvpers.

Op doesn’t like pvp so don’t balance pvp

What are you, four?

no one is destroying anything my dude, if the pvp community is indeed organized at the level you are implying, you will either form your own modes and play sessions in either the new D2R or the old battlenet domain to continue it’s legacy

Sound a bit childish for you to ask of nothing to be changed just because you don’t want to acclimate to the new play styles, if I were you I would have been ecstatic to find out we can try new stuff out

sorry for me saying that but I need to be honest, the “I don’t want to relearn anything new” is a lazy loser mentality, which is the complete opposite of what fighting other people is all about, get used to it and move on

If PvP would be so balanced, a lot more duilds would be viable in PvP. But rn, there are certain builds that are bad for PvP, but much better for PvM, and vice versa. So PvP was never taken in to consideration since the begining. And no PvP is not the ultimate goal, because than the PvP would be much more balanced. This is not For Honor, this is not a PvP centric game, the PvP community will deal on their own, to manage the PvP scene, like they always did.

Serously i don’t understand people saying D2 has pvp balance … you have like 5 build in total in S tier … That not close enough to say that the game is balanced when you have around 24 build + .

I don’t think anyone is worried, just attempting to point out features that appear to be overlooked.

i get it, you are fearful for something you are passionate about. but the devs have been reading the posts/suggestions here. think it was zax that mentioned the uselessness of cham runes. now they try to change that. i noticed some of my ideas for the mercs being considered. not super into high level pvp, but as far as i have seen FOH and bonenecro’s are the topics to worry about (and assassins for low level dueling). i have seen several promissing suggestions like holy bolt also damagin demons for better AoE, sothat you don’t need to ramp up the damage. how about you make specific suggestions in such directions and contribute to the change you want. that would be much more helpful.

Except they did as dmg is balanced for pvp. And some stuff works differently on players.

PVP does not have a ladder mode! It does not have “PvP Games”. It gives your character no exp and no real reward. IT does not have gear that is made for pvping. It is a for fun game that doesnt matter at all. Its as bad as everquest pvp… its just sad So when you get mad about pvp changes just know that 80% or so dont care who play this game
