There were a bunch of fluffy articles describing how the developers wanted to use the PS5 controller’s haptic feedback to do…things…but now that the game is out literally nobody seems to have said anything about it. So what’s it like? Looking for a description, not an emotional reaction. Like, what did they actually do?
Don’t have PS5 but I have it on the switch. No HD rumble (similar to PS5haptic feedback) that I know of. I think just standard rumble
Basic controller vibration is available on all platforms. If by “haptic feedback” you mean something more sophisticated than that, I don’t think the game has it.
Switch HD rumble being akin to PS5 haptics is a pretty big misconception (it’s not you, it’s public perception). I actually have both (but I bought the game on Xbox for reasons). PS5 rumble has more dimensionality to it. I don’t know exactly how it works, but it’s very different. Although, if they did plain rumble on Switch, chances are they didn’t bother for PS5.
If you played 1 2 Switch, tbh one of the not many games that really uses the HD rumble, you’d know it’s a more sophisticated than you think, just very underutilized.
I play on PS5 and they did not develop any haptic feedback features. There are standard rumbles just like what you would feel on the PS4, but nothing that taps into the PS5 haptic feedback capabilities.
Just one more thing they promised on and didn’t deliver.
“We are using all of the new features for the Ps5 controller!” then not use anything
Only the standard haptics other controllers have.
