Does SSD works to launch D2R on Xbox?

Hello Guys, every loading are so long…
So, I’m asking if I plug a SSD on my XBOX One could I be able to launch D2R from it ?
And do you think the loadings will be quicker ?
Thanks guys.

Have a nice day, see you in game maybe

Yes, it helps quite a bit with this games god awful load times.

Game is over 20 years old and someone runs worse now than it did on my budget pc I had when I was 10. Even on the Series X when swapping Acts you still notice the load time when it should be instant.
I can’t imagine they rereleased it on PC like this, Blizzard was just lazy in the port I think.

Big difference. I recommend.

If u do the USB SSD plug in it’s really not notably different. The best is to do the internal install. You’ll want to find something with 500+ read/write speeds. They are a fair chunk of cash. I did one for my PS4 awhile back it was 550 sat 3 about 80 bucks. I’d honestly suggest saving for next gen at this point.

I personally haven’t dealt with long loads on my series x. Iv joined baal games off the host in the dashboard and loaded in fully before they have.

I’m sure it’s not as good as internal SSD storage, but even USB External SSD is very noticeable on D2R. Possibly for other games the difference is slight, but the load times on D2R from the original Xbox One have been cut by over half.

Let me preface this by saying I’m new here. Came to see if anyone else was experiencing the same issues with connecting to games today on XBox and saw this thread.

Not true for my brother and I. We both play on Xbox Ones and the load times were ridiculously long. I decided to try on an SSD that I hooked to a USB port on it and it’s staggering how much faster it is. Before it would take probably about a minute to load into a game with the HDD and now it’s maybe 6 seconds. The waypoints are nearly instantaneous except for traveling to other acts. Then it’s probably 4 or 5 seconds to load. The quality of life improvement has been immense.
