Does MF interfere with getting Keys?

I’ve been trying over and over to get a Key of Terror doing Countess runs but for some reason I’m not getting any since I went over 200% MF. Does MF interfere with Key drops? I mean, are less Keys dropping because more rare/set/uniques are dropping?

Anyone know? Thanks!

No. As far as I recall MF doesn’t affect key drop rates.

IIRC drop rates for keys are something like (I might be off 1 or 2 runs) 1 key every 12 runs for terror and hate keys and 1/14 for destruction. Keys can drop twice or even three times per kill. I got two destruction keys dropped in the same kill last week after going like 0-22.

MF does not affect what base items drop. With 0% MF and 1000% MF you will see the same gold, potions, scrolls, keys, runes, gems, essences, etc. You will see the same base items (sash, hatchet, kraken shell, etc) but only on those base items will MF affect your odds of them being normal, magic, rare, set, unique. In this manner MF will only negatively affect your chances of getting non-magic socketed or plain bases for use in runewords and such. A magic ethereal thresher is junk but a non-magic ethereal thresher could have sockets or be socketable for use in a good mercenary runeword.

No, only amount of players affect these and also runes (less “no drop”).

As far as i know, amount of players doesn’t affect quantity of items droped from one monster but decreases “no-drop-rate” so amount of players affects that more monsters drops something but not that 1 monster drops more.

Nope, can be frustratingly random despite 1/13 drop rate. I’ve gotten 3 nearly back to back on Nith, and then 3 in 100 on countess.

Higher player count = more keys.
