Does it break any Bnet rules to trade on JSP for forum gold?

Does Blizzard have any rules against people trading for the forum currency on 3 party sites?

please dont take my word as law, this is only from observing player posts here and arguements.
nothing about that site violates blizzard TOS. And its probably why it exists for so long considering blizz has gone after similar sites in the past sueing them to shutdown

a lot of people will prob bring up the morality, but at the end of the day… do you King

iii. Prohibited Commercial Uses: Exploit, in its entirety or individual components, the Platform for any purpose not expressly authorized by Blizzard, including, without limitation (i) playing the Game(s) at commercial establishments (subject to Section 1.B.v.3.); (ii) gathering in-game currency, items, or resources for sale outside of the Platform or the Game(s); (iii) performing in-game services including, without limitation, account boosting or power-leveling, in exchange for payment; (iv) communicating or facilitating (by text, live audio communications, or otherwise) any commercial advertisement, solicitation or offer through or within the Platform; or (v) organizing, promoting, facilitating, or participating in any event involving wagering on the outcome, or any other aspect of, Blizzard’s Games, whether or not such conduct constitutes gambling under the laws of any applicable jurisdiction, without authorization.

Basically, if you trade stuff that belongs to Blizzard for other stuff belonging to another organization then Blizzard has the right to ban you.

JSP is RMT so don’t be mad if you get banned. Also you probably won’t look great trading on a website that originated as a D2 bot.

I am not disputing the validity of this, but just because they have the right doesnt mean that they will. How will they even know?

I have yet to see a way for blizz to combat this site since it uses forum gold. With your post I believe they do have that ability, but then why have they not made actions?

I have always traded in game, I find it fun… POE turned me off cuz I constantly had to go out of the game for trades and on a personal level I thought that was super lame.

OP, again i think it comes down to a personal choice of how you wish to manage your trading. But also dont take my word for it, search out some answers for yourself too

Forum gold is directly tied to RMT.

then why does the site still operate with blizzards past of shutting them down when they are able? any thoughts?

You can dispute all you want. Doesn’t change the facts.

Blizzard doesn’t need to combat the site. The site hasn’t done anything illegal, hence why it is still active.

If you use a 3rd party site and break the rules that I have posted above then they will ban you if they find out. Just because you haven’t been caught doing something illegal doesn’t make what you have done therefore legal.

Please, stop spreading misinformation.

dave, you seem to not read my posts correctly xD

I read it perfectly fine. It’s the same as saying "no offense, 'insert offensive sentence here '.

Just because you say “I’m not disputing” before disputing something… I’m sure you get the rest.

Because D2 was a dead game before now and there was no motive. If D2R were monetized in any way, they’d most likely go after Jsp, but currently it’s not so there’s no point. I strongly believe D2R will be abandoned by the dev team after it’s stabilized and bots/RMT will take over.

again what did I dispute? And you showed how it can get you banned. I said it comes down to a choice, one that brings up a matter of right and wrong.
from this thread OP should now know that yes you can risk a ban, question answered. But how will they ever know?
there are a whole lot of people using that site
im not misinforming people?

You are telling people to use a 3rd party site to trade items that can get them banned.

Then turn around and go:

The question that OP posted is simple. I will type it again for you:
Does Blizzard have any rules against trading for currency on 3rd party sites?

The answer is also simple:
Yes, Blizzard has rules against using 3rd party sites to trade items for currency

If you want the last word, go ahead. The answer is all ready in this thread for OP to read or anyone else with a similar question. Good day :smiley_cat:

what about the numerous times I said its a choice, and even suggesting to search more info for themselves.
I personally dont approve of JSP, and would prefer to just tell them not to use it. But I am not telling anyone to do that. you seem to have again, skipped or chosen to ignore a lot of what I wrote xD

So trading your forge for a rush is a violation?

You trade your time and effort for something owned by blizzard

20 years later and people still cry about d2jsp. Diablo 2 woulnd’t have remained as popular as it has over those two decades with out it. It’s the staple of trading in this game. Period.

Unless blizzard want’s to come up with something better it’s going to stay that way.

Guess you can cry for another 20 years.

You are trading a rush(playing character in Blizzard’s game) for a forge(items in Blizzard’s game). This is not against the rules… and again another person who clearly can’t read the question posted by OP.

Does Blizzard have any rules against people trading for the forum currency on 3 party sites?

Weird that blizzard still allows mass botting.

I’m crying about D2jsp?
